Brend and Torque's Weekly Driveclub Competition Series - S2_Week 5: Audi you do? (Sprint)

Only just managed to get a very short attempt at this one as I've been uber busy this past week and I had a grass kart race meeting this weekend. I like the Atom - it handles very much like my grass kart in slippery conditions and you need be quite aggresive with your counter-steer to wrestle it around the corners - great fun. :D
Unfortunately I didn't get enough time with this combo to nail down all the sections so my time is sub-par this round.

EDIT: Was never gonna match that time of @CSL_GoTp however. :bowdown:
 
Event 1 (SPRINT) is LIVE!


You should of all had a little bit of practice with this sweet handling car ( :crazy: )!..At least it was in the dry:gtpflag:... So to keep things simple on this Season of running 2 events together, We decided on having the Sprint the same as the Time Trials the idea being so you should be able to put in a faster time having learnt the track corners, breaking points of the car etc.

I do admit this Atom even trying to set a time was hard work! (So ignore my times it is just there to forward the Challenge (pheew)as I won't be in the Season and concentrating on the Admin side with Brend) ;)

Car - Ariel Atom 500 V8
Location - Kobago
Time - Lapse x1
Cloud Cover - Stormy
Precipitation - Dry
Time - 23:30
Car Class - Super

Set a new target time at 0:17.045. Still a few tenths in it for me, but it's hard work with this little bugger. :embarrassed:

Don't know about being quicker because of the knowledge gained from the time trial...on the plus side though, my swearing will reach titanic proportions 🤬 🤬 :lol:

Guys, I need a favor. Currently my room is getting a make-over from head-to-toe and everything has been unplugged...PS4 included. Could someone who took part in last week's time trial please send me a photo of the results in a private DM so I can log them in the sheet? If Evo would hurry up with the companion app this wouldn't be a problem! :lol:
 
Okay, bad news guys...I haven't received the results from Week 1 so unfortunately it will be regarded as a 'pre-season' event...those who hate the Atom can rejoice. Starting from next week we can begin the time trial series again...results from Torque's Sprint will be posted in due time.

Apologies once again, I didn't realize the timing of my room getting completely redone would interfere with my abilities to track the results. I hope I can be forgiven for my incompetence.
 
While awaiting @Brend and @torque99 to pull their fingers out regarding the tardiness ( joking guys ) :P I been lovin the Kyle reverse in time trial, never realised quite how good this track is until I took the AMG GT3 around it for the last release EVO gave us in GT Duel, so I've now set 2 world records and currently having a great battle to get a 3rd one with the Ferrari LaFerrari..currently in 3rd but I fear as the beer takes hold I will have to wait another day :cheers::lol:
 
@Pearl Jam As it is now in the season I have to wait for a week to pass and results before I can send another which does seem a while (every other week) after sending so many out before..I think If I send a few fun challenges out while this season is on 1/ @Brend wouldn't thank me too much and 2/ It would get very complicated for everyone knowing what is counted for the season etc..So I will wait until this season is over then start sending the sprints or TTs again more regular if you guys haven't had enough by then!..Should be just in time for the new Tracks/DLC ;) 👍

Okay, so good news...the results for Week 1 were gratefully provided to me by @nato777, so I can add this to the overall leader-board. Week 2's event will go live tonight, and the leader-board will be updated in due course. Once again, apologies for the delay. It has been a hectic few weeks for myself!

This week we visit rainy Canada for a dreary drive on one of Driveclub's most difficult circuit based tracks. The VW Bug is pretty under-appreciated in its class as it is one of the weaker cars overall, however...its understated cornering ability will make for a lovely drive in the early morning hours.
