Not sure if my quickest laptime will count because I copied CSL's line around the slowest right-left chicane which was a mile off the racetrack on the entry (I'm not sure what the rules are regarding track limits so I just copied CSL since he's done a few of these before). My quickest clean lap was 01:00.116.

To avoid heated debate and controversy, the rules of Driveclub are applied. So if DC deems it good, its good. :)

Ok, I thought it was best to clear it up before people started shouting at me :)

btw the heated debate was inside my head :lol:

Can someone add me for some challenges? Would be fun with some good competition :) My friends have given up on the game, and I just bought it :(

Ok. Sprint Challenge sent to everyone for this week-I hope you are used to the Beetle now after the TT, It is quite fun to drive. I had a quick go and got 0.28s(Ignore my time @Brend ;)) but I know as always seconds can easily get taken after a few tries..I think I sent to everyone on my list and @mr_VOLCANO I added you and sent the challenge. I am hoping everyone doing the TT is doing the sprint or this will get complicated as I notice some of you on my list are not taking part in the sprints or this competition now but were doing the fun sprints..Brend may need your help on the results spreadsheet :boggled::boggled::cheers:

:gtpflag:Good Luck :cheers::gtpflag:

@KennyL74 We are working on the same tracks and cars for the 2 weeks to keep it simple since we 'merged' ..The idea was to get used to the car on the TT then you should in theory smash the sprint records ;)..on this one they look the same as it is half the track but on others it will just be a very short section of the longer lap 👍

It would be interesting to know who of you are using wheel or pad.
Compared to when I was playing GT5 alot, I am now more of a casual gamer, my wheel was broken and I am now using pad. What really bugs me though, is that I cant handle manual with the pad :grumpy: but atleast Driveclub is the best driving game for pad IMO.

Hey guys, very new to this, but fancy having a miserably bad attempt at these challenges... :)
My PSN is mannjonusa
I'll add you wildbill1372 also...

(I think that's how it works!)

edit: Cheers, got the challenge!

I use the standard pad+manual combo too, I normally play racing games with manual gears but I just played DC as it came when I downloaded the PS+ version (I couldn't be bothered to change anything since I'd read everywhere that it was a rubbish game and didn't expect to play it for long - I guessed myself wrong there!), I think it works really well keeping it as simple fun for this kind of game.

Was very skeptic myself, since I have not had any fun with a racing game with pad in years, and here I am, playing with automatic in Driveclub :D And I really dont feel automatic make me very much slower, but I really miss driving with a wheel though!

The difference between the DS4 and the wheel is tiny the best racers i know use the pad Tiky, ArsenalKid, DavidR to name just a handful while TheKiddie has recently started using a wheel likewise InsaneBirch moved over to the wheel from the DS4 but no longer plays dc.

Respeck to the organisers, really loving this Beetlejuice challenge, my first as a GTP n00b.:gtpflag:
And super addictive - spent way too long on this last night!

Managed to barge my way into 6th, though I doubt that will last very long...

The sprints especially are very addictive down to the 100ths it can be less than a second 1st place to 12th place! You are doing well as that corner is hard to get right and it will be the decider or the winner if you master that the rest is flat out..
Hint: Watch the ghosts carefully (Easier said than done!) with these times!👍

Welcome to the new guys. 👍

Please make sure you send myself a friend request too so you can get sent the Time Trial events.

Update on the leader-board situation, the intention is to have a full up-to-date leaderboard ready for the end of this sprint event ready to go for Week 3.

@torque99 Thanks man!

And yeah, you're right - I love the ultra-fine detail in the corner technique, so addictive... I've also found I could gain a little time on the rest of the track, other than the obvious corner...

Just managed to creep up into 3rd (using the T150), but there's no way I'm going higher than that. CSL_GoTp is channelling some serious D.A.R.Y.L.

I have tried this challenge this morning after I went back to the stock settings and I was in for a shock :eek: I only played in HC mode last week and this morning I noticed how much more refined it is compared to the stock handling.

I was in 3rd when I stopped playing last night. This will not do!!!

;)

On my first try yesterday, I was 0,1sek infront in second checkpoint, but then I was so suprised that I made a slight spin on the curb. :banghead: I often feel its easier after a good break, when I sit too long, I tend too try too hard.
