I'll be there for tomorrow mate, sorry but I misssed practice in the end, last minute dash to the supermarket. As where I am, from midnight (in 2 hours) There's a 11 day lock down, no going out except for emergencies.......This is getting bad!

See you tomorrow for the practice, and race! ;)

I'm afraid I'll have to miss this one. Been way too busy getting home the past week to practice, and a big reunion of my friends is coming together this evening.

My apologies for not making it, I hope it's a good one. The good news is I made it back to the UK and my dependable internet connection.

Glad you made it in spite of quarantine.
Hopefully not too big a reunion....

Just a few, far as I'm aware none of us have been in hotspots. Just myself returning from NL and another friend from NZ. We're all healthy young chaps anyway. I'm sure I'll survive for future races ^.^

I’d be more worried about bringing something home to my family. I am not leaving my house now unless I absolutely have too! Here anyways, anyone who’s been out of country has to self isolate for 14 days immediately upon returning to the country. Stay safe man!

Yep, healthy young chaps are in little danger. It's when they visit their grandparents or bump into s friend who has a chronic disease that they become carriers.
But, life has to go on.

Here the younger people are taking it more seriously, the older people are totally disregarding the expert advice and carrying on as normal, the death totals here are not going to be pretty (America is going to be even worse).

For some reason i haven't been getting alerts for this thread over the past 2 days.

But anyway, i'll be there tonight.

I may set up a PSN group chat. Mostly for announcements, etc.

Aye, it's a bit stupid. Heard someone saying "as long as I wash my hands, I'll be fine" like, mate, that's not how this works. At all. You need others to go it, as well.

Yes, the 70+ here are listening and then disregarding what are said. Some "to stop living is also dying" crap. Their refusal could easily be the death of several.

Last time we had a new pandemic we had a death toll of 50-100 millions, out of a total population of 2 billions.
Now we are 9 billions and once we filled our intensive care units the deaths are going to pile up.

I hope you guys all stay safe or get a mild variety. I have several persons in the risk group in my immediate family.

It's pure selfishness to ignore the advice, I almost feel guilty just going out to work (in the scheme of things what I do is not important in any way) in case I pass anything on without being unwell myself.

I'll stop being negative now, tonight's race is going to be seriously close, it could end up being like the Mazda race from the start of the season if the slipstream helps more than the dirty air hurts. I'm sure it is the brightest grid we've had too judging by some of the liveries in practice.

Slipstream/dirtyaair didn't feel too bad when I was following you, the other day. Should be a great race.

Yh I agree, I’m on the “have to work” list and tbh I’d rather hide away for 3 months with no pay. This is way worse than 99% of people think it is and it is infuriating watching those most vulnerable (mostly the old), act like nothing is happening.

But, life does go on, and people make they’re choices. Hope everyone is safe and looking forward to a good race tonight 👍

Agreed.

I'm not overly concerned about it. In the sense that I'm 31, fairly healthy, no existing conditions, etc. But, if I get it, go to visit my Mam, and give it her, or her partner, they've got a higher chance of being stuffed. Especially as he's now in his 70s.

If I hear "It's just a flu. Calm down." one more time, I'll slap the person saying it.
