Really glad you all enjoyed it.

If it wasn't for @Illum_Concept's uber punt, I'd have been watching that battle for the lead even closer  you really are screwed once you lose the slipstream. I think that'll be a theme for every race.

Seriously, though. Don't worry about it, mate. I know it wasn't intentional, and it lead to some great racing with @DelboyD.

Speaking of which, sorry if any of the moves I made were a little aggressive.

Edit: @Mistah_MCA, is your fast Canadian friend planning on taking part all season?

No worries! I didn't think anything you did was aggressive. I gave you a proper "turn-in chop" at turn two at one point - I just glanced at the radar and thought you're just about far enough away that you won't tap me.

I lost three places at the start by being too cautious and I was looking at a lonely race until you came back to me as I'd lost the pack. Was a great battle! For a few laps I didn't try a move as I wanted us to try and catch the pack back up, but the slipstream took me so close I had to try it into turn 1.

NoStopN (I think, it was the Pepsi car) got a wheel on the grass at turn 4 and spun right in front of me early on. Could have been carnage!!

I don't think so, unfortunately. :(

The slipstream was strong but it probably slowed us down because we were passing each other constantly. We were running around 1:23 in the big group at the start but once me and @Mistah_MCA broke away we could do 1:21.5s fairly consistently (FL was with no tow too).
Man, I was so happy once I broke into 1:21 during the race. I was struggling to break into it during practice.

You really had me at the first and last turns. Whenever we went through there, you kept on building on that gap.

It looks like you all had fun last night in the Mazda buzzboxes, good to see!

Sorry again that I couldn't join in, too much work and not enough fun at the minute,..... @Bivittavus88 I will 100% be there for the Ferrari race at Spa, they'll have to kill me to stop me racing in 2 weeks time! ;)

Cheers! :D

Thanks for the race, man. You could have gone for moves as much as you wanted, really. Once I lost the slipstream of the lead pack, I was stuck

There's going to be a few nice clips from our little battle once I get round to taking race pics/clips.

No worries. If he does decide to jump in for any of the races, he's perfectly welcome.

The funny thing from yesterday was that I received the 458 Gr.4 in the daily roulette after the race. So I'll likely be appearing for the next race.

See you in two weeks.

No worries, mate. Real life gets in the way, sometimes. The Mazda/BMB combo was brilliant fun. The Ferrari should be interesting next time out. Despite the massive increase in power, it's still ridiculously easy to drive.

I have no idea what you mean. :dunce:

When I did my test with the AI before the race, I didn't drop a tire on the grass. During qualifying, I didn't drop a tire onto the grass. I was kind of proud to pick up 2 spots on the last lap of qualifying. But, one little mistake was my undoing. At least I'm consistent with my goof ups.

I was so very proud to be able to maintain that gap for so long. Holding a gap to you for 6 laps was something I didn't think I could.
But in reality it was probably not my doing :)
Happy to race you and it was impressive to just see you skedaddle away from me once you passed me.

Thanks for the compliments. Considering that I wasn't slicing through the deficit, you can certainly hold your own. This first race makes me wonder if I just need to invest more time in the game to get to the levels of MCA & Max. No offense, but I don't want to invest the time needed. I was laughing as I went spinning on that second lap.
