Everything brightness-wise was fine for me until I did the first night race at Big Willow, all other tracks at night looked fine to me on 47% TV Brightness, Exposure 0, but Big Willow was full on Doom 3 dark, the headlights did nothing, I lost two times in a row due to accidentally driving into the pit lane on the last lap
With TV back to 50% Default brightness like it should be, everything is fine so far, except for driving out of a tunnel, especially High Speed Ring, which is a bit like opening the Ark of the Covenant and melting your face.
note: In regards to the Dynamic lighting range of my TV, it's something pitifully low (Cheap as chips 32" Vivo)
Also note: I think part of the reason for the massive differences in light and darkness universally in GT6 is due to a point mentioned in trailers for the game, the Dynamic Range is 50 times higher. Makes for stunning scenes around the middle, with subtle shadows on the mountains and clouds in the sky, but at the bottom and top... unbearable, a bit like staring at the sun in real life so maybe they've done something right as far as realism goes
