Australia is weird in this regard, we value big Houses but as land is soo expensive (atleast in the major cities, where the majority live) that we have houses that take up all the land. kind of like a fusion of US and UK Style.

But to highlight how expensive houses are here the Average one would be atleast $1 Million USD(that is around 1 hour from the City, and up to 5 Mil if near the city, Sydney prices).

@mustafur - I found Australia a funny one, like you said. Huge, loads of land, but everyone wants to love by the coast and Sydney is incredibly more expensive. I saw a lot of the smaller towns (Kalgoolie, Port Augusta, Mildura) and they seemed a lot cheaper.

However, from what I saw a lot of your homes in the suburbs were single storey. Like in Perth you were almost in the shadows of the CBD and surrounded by single storey homes. Urban Sydney than had some European style town houses, basically stupidly narrow town houses.

Yeah you have to travel abit out of the city to get to the Suburbs, but basically every new estate(which they are plenty because the city is growing soo fast) are just filled with those houses I put above, and even the Single stories go by the same method of using all the land with house.

The reason everyone wants to live in the Cities is because outside of them there is not Enough work, and it's incredibly isolated.

These have found their way in to my local bus shelter.

Not sure why the No Smoking signs have been targeted but I suspect kids as it was done over night.

It's national action, they did my area as well, however the ones I found and removed were far worse. Oh and are soon to be banned as a terrorist group in the UK.

In other news that will surprise no one sane, the Daily Mail have been lying about Muslims.

https://discover-the-truth.com/2016...r-cent-of-muslims-believe-britain-is-islamic/

I did chuckle a bit both at the Mail having to retract and a website called "discover the truth" ironically misleading with their own headline saying the Mail reported that: ’75 Per Cent Of Muslims Believe Britain Is Islamic’, when they in fact stated (as did the Express - hardly a surprise, and The Times - a bit more of a surprise) some Muslims in enclaves think Britain is 75% Islamic.

Bad editing is contagious it seems

Yeh I checked other stops and they were only in the one I use. It's safe to say my fiancée and I removed them, young kids use the stops to get to and from the local school. It's the first time something like this was put up locally, I'm happy to say our community is actually very tolerant of all people even though it's a predominantly white middle class area.

I did some checks after finding the stickers and read a little about them and their discusting group. Glad to hear they're getting banned.

The lead story in the Telegraph today (albeit behind a paywall) tells of how Islamophobia is on the rise across Europe and asks what can be done to deal with it...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/12/12/rise-islamophobia-europe-can-deal/

... meanwhile, also in today's Telegraph, Norman Tebbit claims 'the British way of life is under threat from Muslims who refuse to accept British culture...

How astoundingly un-self-aware of the Telegraph. Not that i'm in the least bit surprised.

Speaking of British Islam there's an interesting programme coming out that's styled as "Muslim big brother", and made by the same people behind "Benefits street"

Hmm but if we rush to call this out as contributing to "Islamophobia" without reading it (I can't fully) surely we're proving the Casey report findings true - i.e. we can't talk about Islam critically anymore

Which leads to more segregation, animosity, far right uprising, radical Islam and blah

Well I guess the Guardian agree....

https://www.theguardian.com/politic...bout-muslims-sharia-law-political-correctness

They sure have an, erm, interesting take on sharia "courts" in the UK:

The Guardian
There are some unofficial sharia “councils” around the UK, but they have no legal force. Some Muslims might decide to follow their rulings, just like a Christian couple might ask their priest what to do, or anyone might toss a coin. None of it is binding unless you also sign a contract to bind yourself under British law.

I highly suggest the writer reads articles not printed by the Guardian about the reality of sharia in the UK, like this for example:

http://www.secularism.org.uk/news/2...-blind-eye-to-abuse-of-women-by-sharia-courts

*Oh for goodness sake, looking him up I see he's 85 and spends much of his life caring for his wife who was a victim of an IRA terrorist blast. Is this really the example to set Guardian?

EDIT:

Quick, someone call the Mail! Apparently a lot of European countries believe there are more Muslims than there actually are. Enclaves the lot of them!

I'd say Theresa May will want to speed up Brexit after this - the Court of Justice of the EU has ruled that "general and indiscriminate retention of data" is unlawful, as a result of a challenge to the 2014 Data Retention & Investigatory Powers Act, the powers of which were expanded thanks to the "Snoopers' Charter".
The Data Retention & Investigatory Powers Act 2014 was deemed to be illegal by a domestic court.
The Investigatory Powers Act is the replacement which the EU court has ruled on this week.

Y'all have Papa Johns?! I knew the other two were international, didn't know Papa J was.
One just sorta randomly appeared here about a year ago. Decent partition sizes so can't complain but what do you expect from an American fast food chain....

Multi-cultural tolerance in all its finery...
We have homophobia all over the country (Ashers row in NI, Hazelmary and Peter Bull in Cornwall). Getting rid of all the immigrants and children of immigrants or educating them in British culture won't wipe it out.

Yeh and wait till the high court rules against her. I will laugh so hard, especially if it is ruled that Scotland needs to be consulted. Bye bye brexit. Bye bye everything May stands for.

I agree, but the usual argument behind multiculturalism is tolerance and way it is implied that natural born British are intolerant. Intolerance exists in every race, but in the past it has been hidden under 'I can't be racist, I'm black' or similar fallacies.
