I see, looks like i'll never know how "offensive" his comment actually was then, I'm just going to guess it was something un-original about her being in his basement. I also just noticed sickipedia.org is down for "maintenence" lol I wonder if that just a coincidence or if they're trying to clean up any related jokes so they wont be involved in it.

I heard that it was some pun based on a Rihanna song - which sways my opinion towards his incarceration.

I've been thinking about visiting the UK but I have no clue which places are interesting enough.

And .... I'm scared to death to drive on the WRONG (:D) side of the road. I don't know anything about the traffic rules, the road markings etc... .

Don't worry, most people in this country don't either. The standard of driving over here is getting worse and worse, people seem to have no idea what markings and signs mean and they don't pay attention to anything but what's right at the end of their bonnet. People have been known to drive in to rivers and all sorts by blindly following their sat navs. People simply don't bother thinking ahead and they learn the minimum required to pass their test. People don't indicate at roundabouts (or indicate the opposite way), they sit in the middle lane on motorways, they sit up your arse flashing you for doing 30 in a 30 zone just because they want to do 70, they reverse up slip roads if they miss their turning, they cut you up if they miss their exit on a roundabout instead of doing a 'lap' and then exiting, and the worst? The young girls in their Ford Kas texting and weaving all over the road.

You'll probably drive better on our roads than 99% of UK license holders. 👍

And yet we have one of the best road safety records in Europe.

For the millionth time, stop exaggerating.

Millionth time?

Exaggerating?

Hmm...:P

Anyway, there are loads of interesting places to visit in the UK. Any idea what area you'll be visiting yet, kikie?

Having seen some samples of what Matthew Woods posted on Facebook I have to say it all seemed rather juvenile.

While people should realise that what is said online is real life, this isn't a criminal matter.

Uhhh, yes. England, Wales and Scotland. :D

If there was a huge mountain with a lot of snow on, I'd probably go there.

No seriously, I have no clue.

I can tell you one thing though, I'm not interested in cities.

Nature, archaeology sites, castles, GTP members maybe.

Things that has something to do with cars, car museum and other musea, race tracks. The top gear test track. The Tesla factory.

It has to be places where I'm not "compeled" (:P) to eat a typical British breakfast. I don't want to do that. :D

Stonehenge and Avebury are a must for archaeology (I personally rate Avebury more out of the two and the Red Lion in the village is a great pub).

For the great outdoors I don't personally think you can go wrong with the Lake District and Snowdonia National Park.

I'm amused by the fact that today there's talk of changing the law in favour of homeowners defending their property.

Doubly so because it appears you will be able to kick the crap out of a burglar, but you'll be locked up for 12 weeks if you call him a 🤬 while doing so.

To which the press reported the less clear cut examples of Tony Martin and Munir Hussain. Both were highly provoked, but both attacked fleeing burglars. Somehow I still think that the actual threat to personal safety will lead to similar judgements.

If you decide to visit Cardiff or Caerphilly Castle then let me know.

I live near Snowdonia Park and it is magnificent. Highly recommended.

October 3rd: Man sees joke on Sickipedia about missing schoolgirl
October 3rd: Man posts that joke on Facebook
October 6th: Man arrested for "sending grossly offensive public electronic communications"
October 8th: Man gaoled for 12 weeks for this "crime".

Because BRITAIN.

Just. Wow.

Reminds me a little of what a cop mate told me once.
If you find a burglar in your front yard, be sure that after you have kicked the living be-jesus out of him, drag him around to your back yard. That way when the cops turn up he was trespassing and it was self defence.

The world we live in :ouch:.
Too many do gooding far left nutcases who are listened to.

"Oh but your Honour, he had a tough childhood, he has been victimised during his adolesence."

Well stiff **** mate, man up and face the consequences.

Cheers Shaun.

Thanks.

Two people recommending Snowdania Park.
Googled Snowdania Park and there seems to be castles and ruins.

Will do.

Also googled Caerphilly Castle and these are definitely the things I want to visit.

I think the problem is more down to knee-jerk reactionary policing and politics. It's like when one kid gets mauled by a dog then the press and media start scouring the country for more dog bite stories to make them more money. Then the politicians and police react in an over-the-top fashion and the situation snowballs reinforcing the medias bull:censored:. Dogs bite people all the time - not always on the front page though, is it?

I'm surprised how many here believe this would actually happen.

What a load of...

...hyperbole.
