Leaving aside that adage of the Queen being a figure-head that shouldn't interfere with the political process, I'd LOVE it if Liz (not Maggie 2.0) took Boris' list of peerages and promptly tore it to shreds in front of his eyes. Preferably in front of a camera or two.

Dorries is out, but likely to get bunged a seat in the Lords by BJ
But that's the sort of thing she's totally against, having previously raged about "expensive, unelected peers"...

Wouldn't be the first Conservative to abandon their principles...

Elizabeth Truss, Lib Dem, explaining why we should get rid of the monarchy that has just given her the job as PM...

There was an awkward-looking wooden plank lurking outside No 10 and then it made a speech.

Liz Truss needs a new Secretary of State for Twitter already...
With the Savile tweet still up? And screenshots lasting forever? I'm sure she'll be fine.

Well, my MP is the new Culture Secretary, having previously served as Education Secretary for the best part of 36 hours.

Well my knowledge of British politics is really shallow but I do find this line in Truss' wikipedia page rather humorous:

Just like that, huh?
Oh, god, this whole thing is just one long work placement...

Anyone else never need to read the words "SLAMMED" and "BLASTS" in the British press ever again? See also: "romp" in the early 2000s...

Well, this news is concerning.

Then again, it is remarkable that we are so long into her reign that we feel she might live forever.

Expected though, when they don't release video of her meeting Truss and she missed an important constitutional meeting like Privy Council (even virtually)

King Charlie III imminent

Is it just me or does it look like she's got some kind of trauma going on with her right eye, and her hands probably shouldn't be that colour?

Charles and William on their way up there... sounds ominous.

Her hands look severely frostbitten. The difference in complexion with her face is enormous.

Imagine being monarch for like a billion years and your last official appointment is meeting the Trussbot.
It would certainly would make me want to give up on this plain of existence.
