Been there, took the pictures of the inside as promised:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/album.php?albumid=894

No garage available, so only inside views from racing with the In-Car view.

I tried all cars on the circuit, not many people around in the early hours.
The demo jumps back to Automatic, Std, TCS =5, R1 tires after every try.

My real test, Ferarri 458 Italia manual, pro, TCS=0 on N3s. Not that exceptionally difficult to master. Did not make the full demo without losing it though.

Set up a G37 for a young kid, I guess less then 8 years old, TCS=10, std, automatic, R3s. No issue to drive it, GT5 will be for all.
Next comes a ten year old, heel on the throttle allways at full, never breaking, thinking this GT5 is no good since the cars do not go through the corners when you steer.... (some will learn the hard way).

P.S.: Due to trouble with uploading, Impreza and Toyota came later.

Love that view. Do the feet move in it?

They did in the Gamecom build so they should there too.

Very nice. I hadn't realized I'd missed that aspect. :embarrassed:

+1 excitement point for me, which definitely helps with the unknown release date (this week). :D

Oh yeah and I forgot... Vince_Fiero, thank you for the time and photos!

unfortunately cockpits are still too dark, and the sky burnt out...
GT5's rendering engine is acting like a low dynamic range camera, but our eyes do not work like that :(

there is no secondary bounce of global illumination to light up the interior roof

same issue exists on GT5:P, the Time Trial, and all these Demos so I don't think things are going to change for the proper GT5 unfortunately
I prefer that to the toy-looking cockpits (with low quality shaders) of some (or many) cars in fm3.

Still wondering when I'll go there, you've got the pictures covered so :P

You need to adjust the Contrast/Brightness of your TV.

Does anyone know who makes the driving rigs we see at these shows? Alba, if you go, could you maybe try and find out?

Thanks for your photos and the brief report. 👍

Have you played the game (Prologue and Demo)? You get that impression from videos and i always find it strange, because on my display it looks perfectly fine to me.

Love that view. Do the feet move in it?

The view with the whole driver, with legs, was only shown in the pits, at the start of the demo.

I was not able to get it it in other parts of the GT5 Demo, so no the feet do not move in it, actually very little moves in this view, not even the car.

have the Time Trial same issue,
Don't have Prologue, but videos on youtube confirm this

Nose cam and outside cam are fine, but in car is pretty bad. Sky is blown out so it's almost white, as is anything light coloured in the game. While interior is very dark, you can't make out much detail. It's to do with their HDR lighting engine

you can see this in the pic I posted comparing GT4 and GT5's demo Nurb. I have never had the roof of my car look that dark in real life and the sky that white :)

Was at the show today and was able to give it a go 2 times...
The first thing I noticed was that the feel through that steering wheel was really weird, compared to the g25. In the g25 I feel everything, but at these stands with the gt-wheel.. No force feedback..unless some dude put it on zero or something.
Btw the pedals of the g25 are much better.. But that's only my opinion.

I was able to notice mechanical damage on the TT. After a while the car really wanted to go left all the time. My speed wasn't the same neither.

I saw a pretty big 'bug' too... A citroën just ran almost THROUGH a subaru... like you could drive half through the wall in gt4 i think ..

The screens weren't very good actually, so it's comprehensive the pictures taken by ... a couple of days ago aren't thatttt superb quality.
