I'd honestly try and persevere with no downforce it's the only way I've improved lap times here.

My 37.7 was with full downforce I've been slower with zero downforce for some reason.

Managed consistent low to mid 40s for 10+ laps, I'll get in the 39s if I nail a lap. Front tyre wear is slightly improved, but I think the only way to change that is to change my driving. I always get puffs of smoke from them so I think I'm doing something wrong

Can I hold a pair of ends?

I finish training at 7 and it takes me roughly 20 mins to get back, so I won't be far off. I will just leave ps3 on ready!
