Meh, I prefer Monaco, setting up for here is almost impossible, unlike Monaco where my car was just planted.

I think the Masarati is at a serious disadvantage in this series, and sakery was just epic fast, however, I agree that the DS3 is much slower, I had to use one this past week after really hurting my arm, just happy I didn't need to use one in the races last night, even if my arm was really sore halfway through.



If Moe hasn't made a table my tomorrow I'll make it using pictures of everyone in the races beside their name.👍

Did anybody watch the replays yet?

I watched the feature race and it was very entertaining. At the start I kept watching RacerPaul an myself, as we were coming through the field, and then I was watching the live timing between me in 3rd and the two leaders battling with each other. Pitting a lap early won me that race, I already had a one second lead but if I pitted on the same lap as sakery, he could have copied my lines and caught my draft, but pitting a lap early got me a 3 second gap and I just pulled away from there.

Also, my prize ticket got me a Dodge Viper Race Car. I wondered how good it was so gave myself a challenge, I didn't do anything to it and went to the Gran Turismo All-Stars with it. I had Racing Hard tyres fitted, and they had racing mediums, so I had a heavier, less powerful and less
aerodynamic car to give myself a challenge against those monsters. I did the Trial Mountain race, as it doesn't have much straights on it. Luckily the R8 LMS was on pole and managed to hold up the Bentley Speed 8 for half a lap and I had almost taken it, but it pulled away on the straight. I went passed it in the turns soon after it however and managed to build a 4 second lead after the 5th lap.

Really goes to show how bad GT5's AI is......



Also, at Suzuka, don't bother with a move in the eases at the start of the lap, it ain't going to work. Going into the chicane is the best place to overtake if you can stick with the guy in front through 130R. Turn 1 is also possible just be careful.

Well I must say I'm a DS3 user too so I think you should try the Maserati. I'll test tomorrow hope to get some decent Laps.
Yes trying a move at the Esses will ruin both drivers Lap. During a Shufflerace I overtook at Degner 1 in Häakinen style (and it was clean !!) This will lead to a crash here in the Series (I won't do that)
=> patience is THE key (same for Monaco) and Respekt of the other drivers racingline.

I might do a lap in a race-prepped Masarati to see how it compares to the Lexus, I'm presuming the Masarati can actually turn at high speed?

The Lexus feels horrible in deigner 1 and the little kink coming up to the hairpin, quick changes of direction are pretty painful in this car.

Nice move into deigner 1 as well. However I claim to be quite good at overtaking myself, but pretty rubbish at qualifying.
That move yesterday around you on the outside of the chicane wasn't the first time I've overtook someone there on the outside, although the cars were quite a lot smaller..... RacerPaul will knowl about it. I also once overtook someone on the turn before the corkscrew on Laguna Seca and on the outside of the little kink at Laguna turn 1 with virtually no room, very Casey Stoner style if you watch MotoGP.

Well milldrum, I had ditched my old paint as it looks way nicer on a hatchback instead, and painted mine mustard yellow which I got a win in, so that scientifically proves that it's faster, so I ain't gonna change it.

Sandcastles, my car thinks I'm an Arab Sheik. I'm thinking of painting it the color of a camel to save embarrassing myself. I've also got some sand in my racing suit. Do you know how hard it is to get out?

I got through 8 laps today with mostly 2.08's plus some blowouts due to the unexpected trips to the beach. Add 29 seconds for a trip to the pits and I'm in the hunt.

Oops, I mean, I think we should do enough laps for the field to pit in race 1. Maybe 9 laps.
