Just as a suggestion for warm-up lap, maybe have a rolling start instead and it's go when the leader goes with no overtaking until the line.

Well thats pretty impressive in my book Carb! So the rolling start hmmm never experienced that how messy does it get though everyone bunching up behind the leader waiting for him to floor the metal i mean??

Well the leader dictates the pace, so unless he's going up to 200 and braking down to 40, it's pretty managable. There's 2 ways to start this, I'll get YouTube videos of them.


It could be a double file start, but since there's no starting lights in GT5 it would just be whenever the leader floors it.


Like they do in Formula 1, I think I prefer this method, which is the leader dictating the pace and he makes a break for it in the last couple of corners and no overtaking until the line.

When I can get on the com I will put a poll up for vote!, it will be up for 2 days.

Yep pressure!! Blocks of 3/4 drivers at a time heavy cars first do lap and park up.

Can hosts vote? Or is it a customer thing.

Well the plan is myself Kingsakery(Cheif steward) and Gedi will do our laps last and keep an eye on people. If we do sets of 3 drivers at a time it wont be too tricky to keep an eye on things. We will need the majority of you guys in the lounge for 7 (especially the Camaro Corvette runners) to make things run smoothly.
TBH though Nel the majority of S3 sign ups will be S1/S2 guys so i wouldnt expect anything sneeky.

I think im 60/40 in favour of a warm up lap, the cold tyres now really dont allow for 1st corner lunges to go well (not that they did anyway )

The starts ive taken part in DaxCobra's series' have been pretty good as long as everyone knows that they are doing.

Its getting people to remember what grid position/placement they are in thats more of the problem.

I think a Warm-up lap with a rolling start would be the best solution. 👍

Yep this sounds even better Stu i think nice 1.👍 The first 3 go out do their hot lap we will wait for enough gap and then send the next 3 out the first 3 filter round into the pits and must not under any circumstance return to lounge make sense?

Yep i trust all the regulars but we are bound to have 1/2 newbees so has to be fair for everyone.

And yes Tom feel free. We will not be running a mini series between S2/S3 so we will no doubt have a launch night (sorry furi for steal) and thrash out the qualifying rolling start system prior to opening S3 race.

How about making the qualifying order the reverse order of the championship? For the first race, we could go with reverse order of previous season (a.k.a. this), with newcomers running first.

Gedi/JB How did the S3 cars times compare to S2 cars times. Just to give an idea of how my testing is getting on. Tried 2 with minimal setup,bit of camber and LSD. 1 is slightly faster than my Ford the other slightly slower.


On a side note: JB whats happening to the Reds these days
