I assumed there was overflow everywhere after I defeated Melancholic Angel (which does overflow above the cap). Boy was I disappointed on my next boss/wanderer while being near the cap.
Yeah, overflow only happens after you complete a chapter it seems.

But then again this is exactly what the early access period is for, to test out these systems to see what works, what doesn't and how to adjust them to make them work properly. I reckon the perk system will be a lot different when the game approaches the final release date, along with a few other things that don't quite gel like they feel they should.

Poor old Perfect Revolution. I've rinsed him so much for money. That unlucky so and so has paid for a fully upgraded (So far) R34 and RX7 for me 😄

I imagine he's the best genuine money generating method?

I find Wind of Napoli as the best, with the upgraded rival prize perk you get 100k cp per battle, and 200k after 20 wins in a row. The Alto is cheap to upgrade too. He'll have faster acceleration and better grip but he tops out at 180 km/h, making him very easy to beat on a straight road.

Just noticed, TXR2025 as of this morning seems to have a price tag on Steam in Canada when it was not written before.

Can someone please confirm? I'm on my old laptop right now 'cause sweet Triscuit is sleeping on my lap.

It was confirmed two weeks ago on Genki's social pages (and the TXR sub-reddit) that there's a Canadian release.
“With the help of Throwback Corp, we've been able to sort out the legal issue - Thank you Throwback Corp! We are working with Valve to get Tokyo Xtreme Racer released in Canada as quickly as possible. Thank you for your continued patience!”

0.10.3 update, mostly some QoL and graphical stuff in this one.

Although this...

Fixed a bug in which tire performance was restored when driving in reverse during a battle.
...kinda reminds me of that old Carfax commercial where the guy is speeding in reverse down the road and laughing maniacally as the odometer is running backwards.

Oh yes, the weird doppler effect is fixed, thank goodness!

If anyone's been doing that method to further tune their cars beyond what the game could normally do under normal circumstances (e.g. editing your save file with Notepad++), you'll notice that the performance of most cars have improved from there.

From 606ps, the R34 GT-R is now at 906ps.

That's gotta be crazy fast considering I've seen someone do 400'ish with close to 590 PS on YouTube!

Picked up the game recently. Was going to try to stick to the MX-5, but it's just too dang slow, so I had to switch the the BRZ. Just want to ay, after coming from FH5, this yellow looks really nice.

Also found a way to soft-lock yourself in the game. Involves getting your butt jammed against your rival and a pillar:

The Miata would be just fine with enough upgrades.

I'm going back to mentioning Drift Spirits for these inclusions:

(The Knight?)

(No Loser's Naniwa Warship?)

(Dreaming Wraith)

(Midnight Rose)

Hopefully some of these designs would be transferred well into the current TXR, if they use a different car

I'm curious on what settings for controller people are using ? I already got ride of the steering input delay obviously, but what other tweak have people made ?

If you're wondering because the game feels weird, it does. It's an arcade racer, not a sim, or sim-cade. I don't think I've changed anything, it just takes a while to get used to the feel.

It has nothing to do with the physics btw, it's the controls + the too tightly fixed camera that makes it feel weird. Especially the snap-back/return time. They did change the default settings in the patch though, feels much better out of the box now. Camera needs fixing though.

That's bs man, just changing the input delay and the dead zone already change the game a lot.

And I know very well what it is, I have serveral version of the arcade version of the game. Doesnt mean the different setting in the menu do anything.

What's bs? That I haven't changed my settings? I can't recall exaclty, but I don't think I have. Call that bs all you want.

Wait, so now you're saying changing the settings does not do anything? I thought you just said it did?

Yeah I never did figure out how to get the Miata to acelerate any faster when you're locked out of upgrading further (since you haven't defeated Cinderella), but encountering racers like Shuwa Shuwa Strong, I have no idea how you'd get the MX-5 to come anywhere close to accelerating as fast as it.

Sounds about in line for a game that's still in early days of development (even if their 0.1 is more feature complete than most 1.0 games). I can see they're trying to not fall into the trap of overpromising and underdelivering like a lot of smaller developers do.

That said, if an extension to C1 means they're putting the Yaesu section back in, I'm all for that. Luring tougher rivals down that way was a great tactic to beat them in TXR Zero since they never could quite figure it out and usually ended up crashing in one spot or another.
