I should've gone for a two stopper but I thought I could get the tyres to last two stints, however as anyone who saw me fall down the field on the last few laps could see, this didn't work.

Must admit Dan i was tempted to risk 1 stop glad i didnt in the end. Pitstop strategies are certainly more of an issue in season 2.👍

Welldone everybody for not crossing the line on pit exit!
There's only 1 person that's under enquiry for that.

Will watch the corner cutting soon(carbon)
Also see carbon rear end cobrius which sent him in a spin and carbon carried on.
And jack remember the back markers please!
(more to follow later)

My race:

I started last, although technically 2nd last as paulmac gave up the positions at the start. My first lap didn't initially go too well, I dropped from a brief 11th to 13th due to an off in the esses, but managed to improve as the race went on. By the end of the first lap, I was still lying 12th, but only one lap later I got to 6th place, due to some incidents between the drivers ahead, and some pretty nice passes by me :dopey: On the 3rd lap came the Knelly incident, which cost me 1 position, but due to paulmac's DC, I was soon back at my 6th place, and moving upwards. Lap 4, I moved to 4th with a pass from Syjones and with KingSakery going off the course. Gedi was escaping up ahead, while R35 and Dan were in front of me.

On lap 6, I passed Dan and then both him and R35 went off in the Spoon curve, granting me 2nd place, and the chase was on. Despite a horrific error where I almost got passed by the pack behind (led by Sakery) I managed to come back at gedi, and made my move on lap 9 when he had a spin at the Spoon curve. One lap later I pitted and gedi moved ahead. Other guys with a 1-stop strategy - Dan, cobrius and Seb - also got in front, but I was able to pass them all in some good battles. Nearly caused cobrius to go off, but fortunately not quite, it would've been a bad thing to cause. Gedi pitted on lap 14, which meant I re-claimed the lead - now I had 1 stop remaining against gedi's none, so it was time to make up the gap! It was thankfully successful, and after pitting on lap 20, there was no one to scavenge the lead again. The rest was careful, error-avoiding driving all the way to the finish line, where the gap turned out to be a massive 49 seconds. Not quite the debut that I expected :dopey:

Gedi, I didn't even touch him when he spun... managed to brake just on time...

BTW, nice acceleration on that Ferrari when you got out of the pits :D

All in all a success?👍 With respect to Jack remember the front runners please as a back marker i think?💡

If thats the case Carb nothing to worry about other sewards viewing incident as we speak.👍

Replay will be watched again but I'm sure you spun cobrius

Make what you want of it, but I didn't cause any contact... If I did, I would've let him back. I honestly don't do hit & runs.

Il watch replay again and I'm sorry if I've got it wrong.

Chill fellas its the same for everyone Carb not a personal attack on you. Gedi has fronted up this morning for something which he could of overlooked. Another steward is watching from what i gather sit tight and lets see.

Just watched lap 13 again from carbons and cobrius view and you did hit him while he was braking which caused him to pick up speed which spun him a little, as of this cobrius had to slow right down and get traction back which gave you a place which you didn't give back!

There was no speed gain, he first slowed down some, then accelerated again and went into the sand. You can also see that there's no bumping sound. Try pausing at the moment when you think the crash took place and you can see that the cars don't touch.

Okay, not into the sand, but nearly.

OK guys, so now that everyone has calmed down and said their piece, I'll come back with replies. Didn't feel it was fair to get involved last night in the thread after the race as it may have kept peoples backs up (and rightfully so).

You hit me, and to be honest, when you went off you just drove right back on track infront of the pack.....

That really pissed me off!!

I went off and had to wait for everyone to pass so it was safe to come back on, then I get up the road to you and you do the opposite 👎

Yes, Steg, you are right but it was completely unintentional, and the more I panicked not to ruin everybodies race, the worse it got :ouch:, but I did do some bouncing off walls at first and then when I thought all was clear I tried to reverse slightly to get car facing the right way, and then the second wave was on me. Completely my bad and not what I am normally about.

:sly: Carbon done very well, Toca not so sure about that Toca driver caused a bit of bother granted.:nervous::nervous:

Yes, I did ...... no question. :ill:

Hold my hands up guys and can't apologise enough. Completely my bad but was unintentional and wasn't dirty, just lost my head a bit and in trying to avoid all, I hit all.

Very sorry :(

Still this ^

It's ok mate,I reacted badly after you said sorry and I should not of done so.:(

Accidents happen 👍

My head gets hot very quickly then takes forever to cool

Thanks Steg, but can understand your frustration. I would have been exactly the same mate. Apologies again.

To go further on this, Knelly is a super-clean driver whenever I've raced with him. I guess he just had a bad night.👍

Thanks Akmuq, appreciate that.

Knelly i can vouch your certainly not a dirty driver far from it ive shared tarmac with you before, maybe your mistake was racing tonight under prepared:guilty: maybe an oversite on both our sides i should have checked you had chance to practice i take some responsability for that.:grumpy:

You've no idea JB. I never intended to race tonight but got home, little one was in bed and missus was sick so went straight to bed, and I'm like 💡 BST V8, I need to race.

My issue(s) was completely underprepared, no time in the car (and my first online seat in it - only raced it offline), hatred for the course, and nerves not to spoil things. After a long hard day at work, that is not a good set of circumstances to come intao a league for the first time and race.

I did give you guys a chance to say thanks but no thanks after the sprint race, and was kind of hoping you did  but I was convinced to stay.

Plus, I was up in the lead for the first few laps, but started to twitch when about 17 million cars caught up super quick. MY MIRROR WAS FULL :nervous:

Knelly is one of the cleanest racers I know, don't throw him out because of one mistake.

Cheers Furi (my arch enemy :sly:)

Everyone gets a second chance right Furi the dust is settling emotions run high as always. Nobody has said he is not welcome maybe just a little under cooked tonight thats all.

Understood man, but unless I get an opportunity to test car and track for at least hours rather than minutes, I won't come and spoil everyone elses fun.

Driver of the day prize sent to Syjones without Mills prizes will be a little slow to come through bare with us guys.👍

Whaaaaaaaat ....... not me? :dunce:

Again though guys, and the last time ..... apologies .... I felt sick causing that and hated that I did.

Now, bring on BTCC at Indy Road, that's what I'm talking about. 👍

Oh, and thanks for the PM and the invite JB, appreciate it 👍

King can you watch please lap 13, I'm not going to argue with you carbon!

Just wondering, should we hear Cobrius as well?

Also wondering what kind of a penalty am I gonna get if I actually get deemed guilty... I was forced to brake much more early than normal, and the near-spin looked more like a result of a late braking when trying to hold me behind.

Ive pm'd him for his view Carb will see what he and King come back with i like an idiot was tired and forgot to save race 2 so cant pass comment sorry. Relax all will get it sorted.👍

Guys, please check out the IndyCar link below. The US schedule is now full but we are short of UK schedule drivers.

Starts this Wednesday with pre season race at Spa, hope some of you can make it. 👍

Sorry for using this to plug another series!

Apologies to anyone I held up. It's always a judgement call when to yield & I think I let most guys pass me ok. But I guess my frustration got the better of me once or twice. I was woefully unprepared as I hadn't been able to practice much so my normally mediocre performance was even worse than usual.

No excuses though & again apologies to anyone affected. Need to get some serious practice in for next time as I feel I'm just cluttering up the track at the moment. would hate to think good racers on the reserve list are missing races so I can crawl round completely out of touch with the race:grumpy::guilty:💡

Jack we have had many races together and this is the only incident so don't worry mate.
You are doing a grand job keep it up.
