I'm not saying you have to make the time to test for me, but what I am saying is that if you don't have the time to test for me (not you specifically, but people in general), then don't come whinging to me expecting **** done.
much agreed you work hard on this, if anything you need a break from the testing, which is why I will do my best to always help :)

I don't dislike suggestions as such, what I dislike a bit is working my butt off for weeks to make a car list that works (appreciating those who have helped so far but recognising that I haven't been given a lot in the main), then finalising it more or less, only to have people going "what about this/that", implying I have to go out and spend even more time running them as well without other people putting in the effort. If you want me to take you at all seriously considering the effort I put in, then I suggest you get your ass on track, run the cars you want to see, compare them with your own times in other cars and then get back to me with lap time data. You know, instead of being a smartass as well.
I didn't want to criticize your work, it's awesome and I respect it really!
Sorry to have offended you, didn't mean to do that. :nervous:

I like the list of the cars and it's big enough and the selection is also good, nothing to complain about. :) 👍

I agree with what Rolo is saying. The testing he does is a thankless task and we could/should be doing more to help. I think that part of the problem is that while a season is currently in progress, people want to concentrate on it, rather than spending time working on cars for next season. I do my testing between seasons.

I'm never going to demand people's time, people have lives and I know as the series host I do need to do the majority of the testing anyway.

It's just the culture of expecting something for nothing that I think needs to change in this series. I might run the show so to speak, but it's the responsibility of everyone to ensure it's good and competitive for everyone, in the same way it's everyone's job to follow the rules and race cleanly.

Testing is generally an impossible science anyway, multi-car series are never going to be perfect, there's too many variables. There's bound to be a duff car in this lot as well.

A line has to be drawn somewhere for a particular season otherwise you have a car list that's 30 strong, and then nothing new to do for future seasons.

I might hold a test session later today to compare the Merc and the Jag. I might go to Apricot Hill, Grand Valley and Brands Indy.

I have no life so I am at your disposal mi'lord, just say my name and I will do it!

Indeed, they're called one-make series :sly:

Still a toss-up between a one-make and Season 9 after this. One-make might be good for a bit of simple, summer racing. Still, that's getting ahead of the game.

Anythings gravy by me! And After this season If I can't find my old pace again I will become a reserve driver and focus on Testing!

If there is some testing to be done here is the slave! :D
I have hardly any experience in tuning nore am I the fastest driver around here but if I can help somewhere and I have time I'll help because I know that it sucks when the whole work is done by a single person and the others just have fun with the result of the work. (That's not an accuse to anybody...)

So if there's someting to do, explain it clearly and I'll give my best to bring results! :sly:

Fast times are never the important factor in testing - it's whether the times you do in all the cars are roughly the same. Whether that's 1:00 or 1:10 is irrelevant.

in a way you need to test consistency also, like in the sgtc, bmw 135i origionally was as fast as all others but, its times where up down left right font to back unpridictable whereas the likes of the s4 where very consistent, if you understand the meaning

Yup I get your point! ;)
But what is "sgtc", sorry if I ask but English is not my native language so sometimes I have difficulties with abbreviations.

Just a couple more questions.. Does upgrading/changing wheels affect lap times, also are you we better off running turbo's and reducing power that way?

I won't be around tonight otherwise I would of joined you. Any idea what you running yet?

I've tested merc, bmw, megane and ford. I prefer rwd, but put me down for the megane seeing though I've never raced fwd on here before.
