Geeky, I dont like to blame anybody, but in the first race, i was controlling the 5th position, sc61 was behind me several laps and I was maintaining the distance, but in the last lap, suddenly appeared just behind me. At the end he beat me for 0.2s. I have watched the replay and he cuts out some chicanes in this last lap and he got his best lap, almost 1s faster than the one he had until then... imo it's not fair because I did a honest race.

sc61 has a double complain today? it's a NEEEEEEEW record! :sly:

being honest i might have cut somewhere around the track, but i swear not intentionally... we have serious problems with the cars if i might use it as an excuse.

tyrrell don't leave!

i had the same in R2 at suzuka and today too from 5th or 6th to 12th...

let's share the pain togheter :D

again i apologize to truck and raza for the 2 contact we had, but in both cases i left the position to them and in the case with truck i actually surrendered 4-5 positions to all the people that were damaged.

Thanks for the apology, at the time there was not very pretty language being used...

I also got hit off the track many times in both races. But had great fun fighting my way back through. See you all next week.

Just buckle up, stick penalties on the next race and settle it there. Monza really needs penalties because of how easy it is to cut corners. I know because I did it. I wasn't going to but after seeing others doing it..... Well, when in Rome.

i can understand that but i touched you very lightly in acceleration on your side and didn't think i would have given you so much troubles. passed the position tought...

also serves you right clean the road for the VOLVOS :D

The thing is that it wasn't just the first corner. Some people seemed to think that braking later into chicanes then cutting them was a valid overtaking move. :irked:

Penalties are a good idea but they're pretty flawed in GT5 tbh. I'l keep an eye on the thread and if things improve I'l come back. But at the moment I'd rather spend my limited free time racing cleanly.

If some were blatantly cheating and thats what it is at the end of the day cheating!! I really hope for the credibility of this series Geeky clamps down hard there were enough pre race warnings so theres no excuse for not being aware what was exceptable. Its only 2 x 10 lap races for me i would DQ anyone on replay with more than 10 chicane cuts thats 1 a lap more than generous!
I already read M3 feels upset for someone gaining an advantage when he was doing his upmost to keep things clean not acceptable:tdown:. Look after your tidy/clean drivers Geeky this and future series you do will only benefit.👍

before we raced i suggested to turn penalties on....

With all due respect matey there a waste of time they dont pick up all they should im afraid and the ghosting effect it causes is pretty awful:yuck:. Besides this plenty of series run just fine without them there shouldnt be a need to apply them in all honesty.:indiff::indiff:

We have all had these problems, but does F1 ditch the Monaco GP or the Australian GP because of a crash?

I may be handing out penalties if I feel that it was done on purpose, like I was squeezed on to the grass and almost wrecked mine and Cotsworth's race; I am not going to hand out a penalty for that, as it was not on purpose.

I was going to put them on, but people raised concerns and didn't want them, so we decided to do post race penalties. I will look at the replays soon to decide about penalties.

This thread is really hot today!:embarrassed:

I want to share my opinion with you about all the things are going on. First of all, we all run for fun, that's clear, but the game must be regulated by rules that all drivers have to meet. Otherwise it is not fun because people could feel cheated on. If a driver takes advantage with an irregular action, he must be penalized. I think is the best for the championship.

I'm not saying this because I want to be 5th instead of 6th, believe me that i don't mind, but the porpuse of this is that we all run as clear as possible because, as I said, it'll be funnier for all.

imo, a clean race shall be because drivers are clean, not because the game penalizes, that's why I don't like to put the game penalties (in addition it doesn't work properly).

From my point of view, we have to learn how to be a bit clearer, and we should keep it on mind for the following races (I repeat, I think we are all quite clear).

Please nobody take it personally, it's only my opinion :)

This. 👍

I don't know what you think but I have this idea that can prevent first corner crashes:
After the start we line up single file, and may not overtake or attack/charge before we're out of the corner(s) following first braking point, meaning the first chance to overtake would be second braking spot.. Yay or nay?

Thankyou for your opinion and I agree we all race for fun, and thats why I am looking to penalize drivers. looks like we're on the same wavelength :sly:

That would cause a bit of confusion, i think as racers, we will all be obtimistic and pop our car into tight places which may disapear.
If we could prevent drivers going 3 wide or it would stop it :indiff: but how???

Oh so that's what happened, I just went sideways and saw you go past.

Weird how you're always either right in front of me, or right behind me

Sounds like a plan although it's hard to tell what was done on purpose and what was done by accident... I got rammed at the chicane(s) once or twice so in a split second I decided to cut across rather than rejoin the track and cause another accident. But on other occasions I cut the kerb because others were doing it, as has already been said... at the end of the day we only race for enjoyment so I'd say only hand out penalities if someone gained a position out of cutting a corner or ramming another car, otherwise I think everyone's at least a little bit guilty.

Yeah, we was battling and you pushed me nearer, and, nearer and on the grass. You looked to have wanted the racing line, thats why I spun and was hitting you at turn1 in race 1 but not on lap 1.

I think if you have gained a postion or a advantage then its worth a penalty

i have to point out that monza is the worst oftracks for such problems and accidents even in real life... there's a reason most GT races have rolling start at monza... and most of all there's no indestructible walls!

those walls are a deadly trap, if they weren't there people would just rejoin the track laterallow the others to pass and keep racing. like this the cars can crash and bounce back to the tarmac...

We're even then.

Well said, looking at the other tracks on the calendar I think this is a one-off.

Fair enough but i still maintain if drivers are sensible this or any other track (ok maybe Monaco:scared:) should never be a problem. Ive raced plenty of online races around Monza with the likes of Racerpaul and Cunny17 and theres rarely an issue maybe its an experience thing im not sure, but raced well Monzas an awesome track imo.:indiff:

I have just reviewed race one;

Lap 1 Turn 1; Rallymorten did not see sc61jgw and pushed him to the grass which caused an accident. Cotsworth, JoeTruckV8 and captainhelmet caused a chain reaction.
No action taken, race incident

JoeTruckV8 - 10 second penalty (for cutting the chicanes and gaining race position twice) maintains 2nd positon (just)

Chicken-pop-pops - 5 second penalty (cutting the chicane and gaining postion) falls to 10th
and a warning on lag

Johnboy did infact pit on lap 5

That makes the results

1st johnboy-1975-
2nd JoeTruckV8
3rd Geeky30
4th Cotsworth-1986
5th sc61jgw
6th M_3one
7th Rapid_Raza20
8th Karsten_belouve
9th JulleGaard
10th chicken_pop_pops
11th captainhelmet

Yes lap 5's ok is it not?:dopey: As you have writen "mandatory pitstop lap 4-6" In my eyes this means lap 4,5 or 6 or am i missing the point?:guilty:

I might as well admit I was the complainer, I was basing it on that I while spectating didn't see anything that could even look like a pit stop and that your tyres look too weared to have just been changed :guilty: hope you can forgive that

Yeah its fine if your in doubt its right to query it no harm done.:) As for the tyres its the Integras achilles heel it rips tyres to bits!:scared:

Oh, my fault, sorry again.. But a 15 second lead and heavy tyre wear did seem suspicious to me, and as I don't have the replay of race 1 I'll have to rely in what Geeky sais :)

Also sorry to sc for that turn 1 thing

Like i say no harm done:) Will i be carrying extra weight for nextweek? If so how much? Will need to apply to tyre setup.💡
