Did you get the King of the Ovals trophy after driving 500 miles / 806 kilometer on ovals?

Haven't read the thread... I just looked at the pictures, BLUE MOON BAY IS NOT AN OVAL

You need to do 500 miles on that OVAL track. Blue Moon is a triangle.
Alternatively:
I've just gone to check on my backup account. I didn't have the trophy, but achieved it literally just this minute after running a 500-mile run in Arcade Mode/Time Trial at Blue Moon Bay.
I suspect that the issue is that game modes other than Arcade Mode Time Trial/Single Race don't count. However I'd need to check on a backup backup account.

I got it when I grinded the race on Blue Moon Bay in Single player. GT League —> Professional Leauge —> Premium Sports Lounge —> Blue Moon Bay

Hm currently at ~ 950 km on Blue Moon Bay - no trophy - also retried a couple of times mission 8-6 when the game came out, so I must have more km/miles than 950 on "ovals". The only thing I can try now is to rubber band on the actual oval track on Time Trial and see what will happen

This is what I found in another forum regarding the same topic:

Mileage driven in both Arcade Mode and Sport mode count towards this trophy and this trophy won't unlock during the actual the race, only in the results screen after choosing to exit the race. Do not exit the race improperly (Closing the app while on the track) as it could prevent the trophy from unlocking or make it buggy.

This might be the case, but I don't remember closing the game like this..

Since this is the internet, and people tend to be stupid when using it, I just have to ask.

You do realize that those 500km’s (I think it is) to get the trophy have to be done in one single session? Not particularly in one single race, but in one “stint”.
You can’t race for 350 km’s, turn off your PS4 to have dinner and then do the remaining 150 km’s after dinner. You can however do 250 km’s, go play around in the livery editor/photo mode/sport mode or whatever and then go and do the remaining 250 km’s.
As long as you don’t close the game in between your “stints”.
That’s how I got it, and I wasn’t even trying

If that is true that'd 100% be a bug within the game as it's nowhere stated that it has to be done like this. I've never seen a game that had a trophy set up like this :scared:

False, with my second PSN account I actually shut down my PS4 and continued with the oval the next day, still got the trophy. On my main account I've done the 500 miles in one 'stint' anyway and that still didn't unlock it. You're either lucky it doesn't get bugged and you receive the trophy or you don't get lucky and it's bugged on that save file forever it seems.

Well, I’m 99% sure that I read that in the description of the trophy before I got it. If it’s not, then I’m not a person that can’t say that I’m wrong.

Anyway, I got it by racing, doing some liveries and continue racing. Without closing the game/console.
I hope it works out for those of you that don’t have it yet.

King of the Ovals (Bronze): Drove a total of 500 miles (approx. 806km) on oval tracks.
Now, of course, it doesn't say much of anything... However, things we know contribute toward the trophy (because the trophy pinged for me in both instances) are:
Non-consecutive mileage, Arcade Mode, Time Trial, Northern Isle
Consecutive mileage, Arcade Mode, Time Trial, Blue Moon Bay Speedway

That rules in the following requirements:
Track: Northern Isle or Blue Moon Bay Speedway
Mode: Arcade, Time Trial
Sessions: Multiple

And rules out the following requirements:
Sessions: One

Things that are neither ruled in nor out yet are:
Track: BB Raceway
Mode: Arcade, Single Race; Arcade, Drift; Arcade, Custom Race; Arcade, 2P Split Screen; Arcade, VR Tour; Campaign, GT League; Campaign, Driving School; Campaign, Mission Challenge; Campaign, Circuit Experience; Sport, Daily Race; Sport, FIA GT Nations Cup; Sport, FIA GT Manufacturer Series

I'll also join the ranks of people without a trophy. Admittedly my arcade mode mileage isn't high enough if that's what's required but GT League is certainly over the limit.

It would be interesting to know (for the guys wanting, but not having this trophy) if anyone with over 500km that didn't receive the trophy, have since been able to unlock it...

or if it's the case that once the trophy trigger point has passed, you will never be able to get this trophy as the game would think you already have it?.

TEST RESULTS!

50+ wins in the Premium Sports Lounge - no trophy.
Around 820 km on the Blue Moon Bay II in arcade mode time trial - no trophy.
Around 750 km on the Northern Isle Speedway in arcade mode - trophy.

My possible contribution to the thread is thus that the reverse version of Blue Moon Bay doesn't count as an oval.

So I just now got the trophy after finishing the Audi TT Northern Isle race in the GT League. That means it really doesn‘t matter where you do the miles I guess? 💡

Already drove 400 miles on Blue Moon today for the daily race. I am more than certain I had over 100 miles prior to this. Still no trophy. Besides level 50, thus is the last thing keeping me from Platinum.

If Northern Isle has been proven to work in Arcade and GT League and BMB doesn’t work, then it seems like a reasonable assumption to me. If people aren’t getting the Trophy at BMB, then trying Northern Isle will likely give them a result.
It only seems like a reasonable assumption if you think Blue Moon Bay doesn't work.

And it does (and that's also on this page). So it isn't.

500km in a single race day maybe? Like a NASCAR race? I will check to see if I unlocked it, pretty sure I did by accident.
