Buggy today?

Yeah, the website has been very slow on and off for me. I'm using Safari 7.0 on OS X 10.9 for reference.

Yes, there are some network issues affecting the datacenter today. It seems to be occasional, temporary sessions of dropped packets, which might make the site inaccessible for 10 to 30 seconds, but keep refreshing and it should return.

I'm not sure when this will be resolved (hopefully within the next few hours), but please keep reporting it if you continue to experience the problem.

Twice tonight I have received an error, something about not being able to find a "cached version" or something. If it happens again I'll try to do a screen grab.

I'm getting some weird stuff tonight... I'm seeing threads which last posts were years ago (2008, 2010 and older) in the first page of subforums.

I was intermittently getting the same error screen as R1600Turbo yesterday. Refresh fixed it every time. No problems today.

EDIT: And right on cue, "Oops, google chrome could not connect to gtplanet.net"

I've had some issues as well, where my phone simply keeps loading the page. 10-15 seconds later a click on the refresh button fixes it.

Ahh so its not just me. I am having all the reported problems listed above. Yes this site has been buggy for me since yesterday. Sometimes when I click reply or save and nothing happens. Several random events like that quite often the last couple days. I even got the "page will not load" a few times. Jordan was working on a few things yesterday and I just figured it would work itself out. I still cant get the scroll button to work in most threads. But there seems to be no fix for that anytime soon.

I am sure a lot of these problems are coming from the massive nationwide storms we have had this week. Record breaking cold and insane winds do not help at all. It always gets worked out over time.

Yes, the problem is ongoing, although the network engineers have yet to find the source of the problem.

The server loses connectivity for approximately 30 seconds approximately every 10 minutes, so that's something to keep in mind. I'll post here when it should be resolved.

The problem has been identified as a faulty network switch to which GTPlanet's primary server is connected. Engineers are working to replace it now.

Thanks for the heads up. This is still honestly one of the best sites I have ever been on in terms of reliability.

Definitely couldn't agree more, heck I can't even remember the last time we had issues like this to be honest.

Funny thing I always use gtplanet as a test site. If some site loads slowly I just test gtp and when that loads in millisecond I know it's not my internet :P

Same exact thing I do. If I ever question another site or my own internet, I instantly go here. :D
