This Tranducer was just released on Black Friday and is a smaller unit than the normal Buttkicker LFE kit. Has anyone bought and tried this on your racing cockpit? I am thinking of picking one up so I can move it between my cockpit and couch. I have yet to experience one of these units but from what I have read they are worth the money. This unit is bigger the Buttkicker gaming tranducer that mounts onto an office chair. It also has a wireless link (with remote) from your AV reciever to the 300 watt amp that is included with the kit.

Bigger then the MINI LFE as well? I am sure it will be sufficient for a racing chair at least. Sofa depend on the size and weight of course :). If you have a lot of cusions it of course softens the vibrations as well.

But well I have a gamer and LFE and the transducers themselves anyway are top notch. the gamer amp is not really but then it doesn´t cost anything either. I have the power amp and it´s very nicely built. Nice with wireless shouldn´t cause to much lag hopefully. Otherwise it does get some cables in and out from it if you need things tidy :)

I did not not even compare the specs with the MINI LFE but I bet it is the same transducer. I will most likely pick one up shortly after Christmas, Santa is bringing me a G25 and I have to mod my chair for the shifter first.

Makes perfect sense if so :). I would say go for it. The only problem I got with my bass shakers may be if you don´t have a receiver which have some analog LFE outputs or similar. I watch movies from my computer and I have to choose either true 5.1 surround or LFE enhanced movies with Pro logic or stereo. Either digital or analogue signal not both and the buttkicker of course only reads analogue signals it has no DAC.

If I instead use my PS 3 it for some reason also puts sound through the analogue channels so then I get it all. I have home theater speakers so I can only run through optical or coaxial.

I have an Onkyo 805 with sub outputs so it should be no issue, I also am running a 10" klipsch powered Sub.

I have the BKA300 Wireless kit as well as the Buttkicker Gamer.
BKA300 is mounted to my leather love seat. it's great because it comes with the mounting kit so it was easy to setup.

You have any pics with it setup on your chair? I am hoping to pick up this kit next month for my birthday. How is the Buttkicker while playing driving games? or even shooters like Call of Duty W&W or Modern Warfare?

i have some pictures of the buttkicker mounted to my playseat, i'll take some pictures of the BKA300 Wireless kit this weekend. I'm currently out of town

Yes how does it perform with Racing games, especially GT5P? as well shooters and other PC and PS3 games?

Can you also write how to hook it up to the system? I have a 5.1 connected to my PS3 with HDMI, same to TV..

My birthday is around the corner, I think I will be ordering the BKA300 in the near future. How does it "feel" while playing driving games or FPS?

Well I ordered the Buttkicker BKA300 today, unfortunately it went up $100 to its retail of $399 :yuck:. I stayed cheap:) and stuck with the free shipping. Since its coming from Nevada I should hopefully have it this weekend or early next week so I can get it installed in my seat.

My second Buttkicker BKA300 arrived last night, my first kit had what appears to be a bad transducer. I called Guitammer tech support for the first unit and they rushed me out a brand new kit first thing on Monday this week.

I have to admit I am completely floored at the performance of this unit and although I had an issue with the first kit, it was definetely worth the wait. It took me about 15min to setup the RF link, Amplifier, and transducer and begin enjoying what the Buttkicker had to offer.

I started off with a Blu-Ray version of Pearl Harbor and jumped to the First Strike scene where the bombing of Pearl Harbor starts. Truly amazing being able to "feel" every explosion, flying bullet, bomb, or torpedo. The anticipation of what will be felt next is awesome particularly the scenes of the torpedo hitting the side of the ship or the bomb that went through the deck of the Arizona. Its like "OH YEAH! Here is comes", just like that feeling before you go down the first hill on a roller coaster.

After playing with the movie I moved on to a couple of games and see how they perform. Keep in mind that the Buttkicker uses the LFE or Subwoofer out on your receiver so it will only reproduce low frequency effects.

1. GT5P: No response from the BK when hitting the walls or another car, I guess this is OK since this is BAD :) However while driving if you hit the red/white curbs (rumble strips) you definetely feel those. Depending on your speed affects the frequency and feeling that is felt. I also learned (felt) that not all the red/white rumble strips are raised, some are completely flat. I did not try a cockpit view or adjust the sound volumes in the game to see how the BK responds, curious how it feels in cockpit view.

2. MC:LA Not much response from anything other than Nitro Boost or hitting a gas pump at the 7 eleven! Like GT5P I did not try any other view or adjust the sound settings. However due the soundtrack in MC:LA it feels like having to 15" subwoofers in the trunk while cruising the streets of LA:sly:

3. COD4: It looks like FPS games will be a riot, I went to ACT1 and did the "Death From Above" level. The 25mm, 40mm, and 105mm cannons are "WOW" and I dont mean world at war (which I will try next)! You can feel the actual shot when you pull the trigger and the explosion when it hits the ground from the C-130. I did not try adjusting any sound settings in the game and I did not try FPS yet. I think the bullets whizzing by will be spectacular, since I "felt" this in the Pearl Harbor movie.

If you are seriously considering one of these units, YOU will not be disappointed it adds feeling to both movies and gaming. I only played with the BKA300 for about 1.5hrs and did not move it to my couch. This unit is definetely more than enough for any game chair. The amplifier has a remote with preset EQ settings for movies, music, and games. You can also increase or decrease the intensity, I left it on either game or movie as that was enough already.

This is a picture of the BKA300 Wireless connected to my chair, (amp and RF link not pictured).

Thanks for the info. Too bad I cant USE it or Don't know how to set it up.. Im a farmer boy now living with Civilized world , LOL, so I am not too big on tech guy. So far guys told me I can't split cables from my sub woofer because the sub, it does not have it's own amp.
As well my 5.1 BOX does not have any RCA Line out.. or whatever you call it.. But there is a setup I can do that it allows my PS3 run sound for both 5.1 surround sound as well TV! So How and to what I need the ButtKicker to connect to the TV so it will work well?

I would like to buy buttkicker, but the cheaper model one GAMER.

I am really noob at these things.

Thanks in advance!

It uses the Pre out or Preamp out for the subwoofer or it comes with another connection to connect to the back of your reciever for speaker wire out/subwoofer to RCA. When I get home tonite I will look at the connection guide, I believe you can hook it up with this secondary connection that comes in the kit. What HTiB do you have? or send me a picture of the outputs (back) of your receiver. I should be able to tell you if it will work or not, I think it will.

This is a diagram of connecting to the back of a receiver. The connector I was referring to is a speaker level interface adaptor to subwoofer output (included in kit). For your installation you would have to splice in the adaptor to the subwoofer line (dark blue) for it to work i believe. I would contact their support, they should be able to tell you for sure if it would work.

heh.. No plugs on my subwoofer. just single wire runnin to the A/V
I can't connect it to my A/V processor or that 5.1 box.. what ever the name is. I don't have any OUTS for subwoofer..

As you can see for the TV there are some OUTs..

So DO i really have to connect it to A/V reviver? or straight into TV?

This shows how to connect GAMER to TV.. but im bit confused..

So Can i just connect to the AUDIO OUT L and R to my TV ? Will it work?

The BK gamer connects a little differently, it uses the audio L/R from the TV output into the amp, or the stereo plug from the sound card on a PC. The BK gamer would work in your application. The BKA300 uses the LFE (low freq effects) or subwoofer output so it will be more responsive to lower frequencies found in movies.

THANKS! So just plug it in to L/R audio out from tv

I had another forum going on.. no one could really answer.

Only thing bad is I can't see them on AMAZON anymore! oi :(

Thanks a lot! I'll give it a go once I find it on the net hah

Sure gamer won't be as good and powerful as what you have, but it will be something different for my experience :)

Even official site is out of stock.

I had seen the gamer on Guitar Center when I was looking at them, they showed it for $99 but its gone now also. I saw some you tube videos with the gamer and they said it worked really well.

I guess I will have to wait a bit. Thanks once again.. Yeah I've seen a lot of reviews and what not, but no one really explain about my setup and if it work. now i know :D

Quick question.. Does it ever get annoying a bit? Like watching a movie and it wont stop kicking? haha

Dunno? I only played with it for about 1.5hrs, I will let you know as I experiment with it this week.

I was looking at the Reviews on Amazon and one of the posters had an issue with his transducer similiar to mine. I also noticed that he had connected the wireless transmitter to the RCA L/R audio outputs from his TV not the Subwoofer Pre out. The wireless transmitter does have a Left and Right RCA input, you just plug the line from the subwoofer into either one (see the setup diagram in prev post). I don't think this is what caused the failure of his transducer. I believe you could potentially use the BKA300 in your current setup after all.

This BKA300 is bit too expensive. The GAMER is way cheaper, (but I bet less powerful)

I have been really enjoying the Buttkicker while playing GT5P, I am working on my qualification run for the GTP registry so this is based on the Fuji track. I changed some sound settings in the options and completely turned off the music and turned up the sound effects to 150. While racing I can "feel" the vibration of the road in the seat, wheel, and shifter. This effect is in relation to your speed and the wind turbulence that is produced. For those of you who play GT5P in surround you "hear" the wind in your front/rear speakers and sub. With the music turned off I could get a real feeling of what was going on without the thump of a bass beat. The rumble strips (red/white raised curbs) are definetely more defined with the music off and sound effects turned up. This effect alone gives an added sense of where your front tire is in the turn especially if you like using the rumble strips while racing. The music is enjoyed when I play a replay of my run or in the menu mode as I left these setting turned on. As for the in car (cockpit) view it too is a lot of fun and was actually the first time I tried driving in this view. I didn't really pay much attention to the engine sounds since I was in the Mazda, but will have to try a few different cars and play some online races. I ordered F.C. today so I can't wait to see what it has to offer.
