Buttkicker Mini LFE SE/Obutto R3volution mounting solution?

I just purchased 4 Buttkicker Mini LFE SE transducers, an Emotiva UPA-500 multichannel amplifier and a SimVibe license. I plan to mount the Buttkickers on the outside corners of my Obutto R3volution cockpit. I know Mark Lutes at Fasttracksims offers mounts but I'm hoping to avoid paying another $160 to get SimVibe working properly.

With that in mind, has anyone successfully mounted these transducers to an Obutto R3volution? I understand that they must be mounted in a certain manner for proper energy transfer so I'm hesitant to fabricate my own without a template or parts list.

Also, my R3volution sits atop a 3' x 7' foam/rubber mat (.5 - .75" thick). Will that help, hinder or have no effect on my SimVibe experience?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Go over to the official Obutto forums. There's a guy who used a combination of drilled steel plates and u-bolts to mount 4 BK Minis to his R3volution.

In theory, the rubber mat should help. Less vibrational energy will be transferred to the floor.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know an Obutto forum existed. That solution looks similar to what I envisioned. Although I'm no Bob Vila, I think I can probably put together a mount with a trip to Home Depot.
