that would be fun.... hehe you come in 1st every race and bob the tard comes in last ...
Actually, I like the idea of being able to switch between myself and my b-spec drivers during long endurance races. I just can't imagine ever completing a 24hrs race.
A spec - you drive
B spec - your the crew chief
C spec - You own a team
D spec - you own a series (F1, NASCAR, ect..)
C-Spec is where you operate a race track (created in course maker) and host events for other people. You'll have to manage:
Track hire prices.
Spectator ticket prices.
Track staff.
Staff wages.
Race timetables.
Track maintenance.
Clean ups after a wreck.
And so on and so on.

C-Spec is where you play a virtual role in the Polyphony Digital team, and take 10 years to design Gran Turismo 7 whilst designing and releasing endless trailers and modelling cars to a detail beyond that of Playstation 5's capabilities. You get bonus points for declaring the game is "beyond photo realistic". This game mode also takes place in real time without a fast forward facility.
BUT...I still LOVE Gran Turismo Its fab! In fact I am going to play it now...see ya guys!
C-Spec would be you as an owner of various race teams and you could either hire your drivers or drive your self. Wishfull thinking I guess.
C-Spec is the guy on the couch directing you.
Edit: Or it could be the big guy upstairs.
Combo Spec. You and Bob driving together.
I like that, well thought out.I think a C-Spec manager/owner mode would be an excellent idea. Start as the owner of a small team, and need to
- Acquire sponsors to fund the team's operations, and manage a budget.
- Hire staff (i.e. engineers who undertake R&D work to develop new parts to improve the car
- Undertake mid-season test sessions to test new parts etc.
- Hire drivers and/or race yourself (i.e. a two car team could race with the human player and a Bob in the same race, and co-ordinate tactics accordingly, ,with maybe like a pause menu or something to issue instructions mid-race)
- Manage ego's of drivers who are given number 2 status
- Manage press and interviews
With the goal of creating some McLaren/Penske/Chip Ganassi like racing enterprise at the end of it all.
Essentially, my C-Spec would be a mixture of elements from GT5, F12010 and MotoGP 09/10.
