Can Acura Be Coming Back to GT Sport??

The Acura License is in the Notice of Intellectual Properties in GT Sport. So it may come. The 2017 Acura NSX would just be a duplicate of the 2017 Honda NSX, so it’s going to be pointless to add it. The TLX A-Spec, TL Type S and ARX-05 DPi or ARX-02A would be cool to have. Hope to see more American brands like this one come back, since lots of them are missing.

Or likely because Honda the parent company enforces it regardless of Acura actually being modeled or not?

That wouldn’t really make sense because Acura is its own brand, but it could be. But Ford is in there too, but Lincoln isn’t...

It’s funny how some people still think Acura is Japanese, when it’s not. It established in the United States and Yoshiharu Yamamoto even said it was an American Brand. Not talking about anyone here in particular...

I think the most possible Acura to return would be the '91 nsx because it was the only premium Acura and to be honest I would kind like to have a non type R nsx in the game as well. There was even some leak about that car earlier, idk if it was real or not.

I agree. The Acura NSX Touring Car would also be cool for Gr.4...

I have a LOT of Acuras in my collection...but, yes, it would be cool to get actual Acura badged street cars and their US race cars (especially the GT3 Evo and ARX-05) in the game. If they do, I hope I will be able to transfer my liveries...

I would love to have a ilx as gr4 and a tlx gt as gr3
The A-Spec versions of their cars look sick! Unfortunately they are mainly for looks and not actual performance. They should get into that. Their slogan is “Precision Crafted Performance” after all.

Why are some forgetting the Acura CL Type-S from the cover?

Also the US Acura Integra Type-R & GS-R

Add DC5 RS-X. These cars were slightly less potent than the JDM cars.

Even the US NSXs were heavier than JDM spec. They'd be left hand drive for starters.

It was established in the US as a brand so as to make Americans believe they were buying American cars, and to lose the image of the cheap Japanese car.

Apparently it worked.

That certainly won't happen. There are several pairs of identical cars in GTS already for which you cannot do so. Look at the Audi R18 TDI and Audi R18 TDI (Le Mans) for example. The Dallara SF19 will be the same. It is a pity though.

I know...but I keep hoping such a feature will be added in a future update. I keep hoping they add some support for transferring liveries between street and race car variants as well, which admittedly would be quite a bit more complicated given the sometimes significant differences in topology (but even a livery with misaligned and poorly oriented decals would be better than having to completely start from scratch).

I never mistook Acura for anything other than a branch of Honda, a company that was focused more on luxury and performance than the parent company. I never thought of it as an American brand. When I aspired to own Acuras, all were still being built in Japan. When I bought my NSX, I knew it was built in a factory in Tochigi, Japan. I wanted to visit that factory while the first generation car was still being made there, but sadly never did.

I have issues that the new 'NSX' is made in Ohio.
