He seems to think that all a track needs is one long straight with a tight bend at the end for overtaking and that's it! Overtaking should be possible on almost every part of the circuit not just once a lap!

Well, it seems that Canada will be axed., and directly because of the tobacco legislation.

However, Canada has had its GP axed before, and successfully got it reinstated, so it's not the end of the world. I think that the track has sufficient character, and it is sufficiently popular, and is geographically expedient, so it will be back.
