Canadian GT Sport Contest Announced: Win Long Beach GP Tickets and Porsche Gear

Lester eliminated apparently because of wheel issues.

That's some joke. :(

Feel bad for him, put a lot of effort into it.

Yeah he was QUICK once he got it worked out.

Great job @Eh Team ! Almost really close at the end. You should be proud of your accomplishment making it to the finale. We are all very proud to have you rep SRM. See you Tuesday to wreck some fools. :D

IDK what the issue was, he qualified great, but then something happened between qualifier and the race.

He had a chance on dragon trail, but a little mistake in the chicane made it tough.

Finals about to start, hotsaucer won qualifier, monster 2nd and Djow in 3rd .

Brilliant racing at Nordschleife!

Next time I hope the organizers provides better camera angles though, especially on Nordschleife. It was almost entirely chase cam now :/

I️ cannot believe how amazing this event was, not in my wildest dream would I️ have thought it would be as big and professional as it was. It was great meating you all, and I’ll look forward to the next event
Mega congratulations to you mate!

Was a great event and announcers were awesome. A lot of my friends that I compete with in real sanctioned events couldn’t believe how well organized and how solid the racing was. Disappointed about the contact in last two races that ruined my chances but I’m still coming away from this event enjoying myself! The only negative was going out to my car afterward and seeing the front passenger corner smoked from a hit and run - hopefully next event there’s players only parking!

Was very impressed with the brief time I watched the feed (2nd race of heat 2), seemed very professional and organized, and the commentary was good, other than referring to the players as “drivers” and calling what they were doing “driving”, pretty sure they don’t refer to CoD/FPS players as soldiers/murderers or NHL players as hockey players. Felt my soul being sucked out of me watching people play video games when it was a beautiful day outside. Made me more depressed about not making it since it would’ve been a nice memento to have in the future. Frustrating that technical issues reared their ugly head for some people but I guess that’s just luck. Was anyone using a controller?

I don't think so. Wheels for all.

They kindve are drivers though, drivers use Sims to practice. Hockey players don't use NHL18 to practice.

Gaha and that’s the reason I️ don’t race real life anymore. Just can’t stop growing. Built like a brick house

@SlipZtrEm where were you sitting the whole time? Never ended up meeting you

I was sort of all over the place, but tended to stick to the second row of the VIP section near the commentating booth.

It was really great meeting everybody, both the drivers and the folks involved with making this happen. We'll have a full breakdown on the front page shortly.

I really think this was an excellent proof of concept for what's possible with live events. WorldGaming put a lot of thought and effort into it, and it showed.

I just hope there’s another one, even if it’s not GT, just another racing game of some kind.

I think I was sitting right near you?
I was the lucky sob who won the PSVR.

What a fantastic experience! Had a wonderful time meeting everyone and racing with some truly amazing drivers. Congratulations to @Drew71 on the dominant win!

Apologies to @Tom for all those silly numbers at the end of my username. I noticed they tripped you up a few times lol. You and AR12 did a great job on the commentary.

And big thanks to @SlipZtrEm ! Your article was the reason I found out about this competition in the first place.

I really hope I get to participate in more events like this in the future. :)
