Race report, just dont have the pace at Catalunya, its my worst track on F1 so i'm glad to have salvaged a podium. Had a lil incident with sandman when he spun right in front of me i the impossible sector 3, but i lost only 4 - 5 seconds, which might have made a slight difference in the end but you can never predict a race on one incident. Made clea overtakes, didn't defend down the main straight as i might have gotten the boot from the series. As i predicted, my luck ran out in europe, i was a full 2 slower than in practice for my qually, first spin, and worst track, still happy to get some points here.

Pagey- We can run Monaco without AI as you make a fair point but dont be surprised to see them back for the race after Monaco

For me the reason the AI was so bad was because of the 3rd sector. With my custom setup I was fastest of everyone in the 3rd sector, and way faster then the AI. This meant I'd catch up to them during that sector, then get held up .5-2.5seconds waiting for the corner to end so I could pass them. Very frustrating when trying to get a grand slam, and because of the AI my fastest lap had traffic (though that lap did have DRS as well, so it I still came close).

For Monaco no AI. Even if only 2 people show up, no AI. I will either protest and skip the race if there are AI, or help others by killing the AI

Also, I was wondering if it might be better to run Monaco with ghost cars? I'm not sure if it's needed, but it might be more fun for people, as overtaking is hard enough on Monaco before you add the lag of a full lobby. It'll also be way more fair, as there will be zero incidents that way as well.

To be honest, I'd prefer racing regular cars, but I doubt I'll still be saying that if there's a lag related 'misunderstanding'. And with the safety car, it could be a very exciting race anyway, even with ghost cars .

Please no!! I'm begging you. Look at how many peoples races they have ruined! In 4 out of my 5 races the AI have spun me out or run me off the track. Completely destroying hopes of a decent finish. And that's just me.



In other news I just had a blast around Motegi in the FGT, it would have been absolutely epic in the FGTC.

I think it would be interesting to know as well. I use all aids off most of the time, but sometimes I will use the driving line if I haven't practiced/driven the track recently enough to remember my line.

So many other people have had problems. I joined this championship for some good racing, I didn't join so I could be taken out at every race by the AI.
I just don't see how still having them on can be justified. If a human player did the same things as they did they would have been booted out of the championship after 1 race.

Agreed, as much as i don't like to disagree with brett, the AI in a online championship just doesn't make sense to me. They are too slow for people to race with them, cause lag and they're too unpredictable when lapping them.


Falcon- my Mic was muted but with my headset you can't actually turn it off, just mute. There is nothing i can do, sorry if it was distracting.

Artmann - sorry about that but like you said, i simply spun myself, i don't Want you to think i turned into you. 👍

Pagey+SM- Sorry you feel that way but the AI stay, I am not prepared to fall into 4th or 5th place and stay there for 30 odd laps. At least with the AI I occasionally get the chance to catch someone who has had an incident with them. They are an interesting barrier that need to be followed (losing you a small amount of time) and then overtaken, some are better at this than others and it adds a dimension to the racing.

The good news is they are gone for Monaco and like I said before, I will reduce their numbers by removing the HRT and possibly Virgin drivers to help with lag.

Very sorry for ruining mike's race. I was trying to avoid Brett at the start and he got off the second corner a little slower than me so I lifted and Mike passed me, but he got off the third corner slowly so I got alongside and we touched. It was my fault and I should have been more careful, but I got a drive thru penalty for it.

On a side note I wish we could atleast turn the AI off during qualifying, as I never seem to get a clean lap.

Sandman - Fair enough so as long it wasn't distracting that's fine. It was more scale that was the problem. Yours wasn't distracting me at all. It was the AI that did.

I agree, personaly I don't think AI has any place in an online league. Doesn't make sense.

The race was terrible for me...

I did ok for 10 or so laps I was in 6th then I span due to lack of grip and couldn't get the car straight again. I ended up doing 3 doughnuts Then it went downhill from there. I span again and couldn't pass the guys on primes (I was on options). Then I got 2 drive through penaltys for going wide twice in 1 lap.

Then my frustration led me to smashing the 🤬 out of d'Ambrosio. I then hit the wall seperating the pit entrance from the track due to no front wing and piled into the sand. I then went backwards 5-10 yards to get in the pits & got black flagged...

I then threw my controller on the floor and punched the 🤬 out of a cushion imagining it was d'Ambrosio

Eventful race in all.

Can you put me down as a reserve? I know that if I did get a place I'd have like 0.0001% chance of winning the championship but I can never find a decent group of people to race with. My PSN friends are not as good as me, expect 1, who is from here and he is like 500 times quicker than me.

He wanted to, but he said that sector is way to big (money, licensing ect)

but its still promising for gt6, maybe we will see more FGT's like GT3 or maybe more licenced f1 cars.
