Awesome race all the way through!! Great racing throughout the field, in the end I lost track of where everyone was  I think Maldonado should be chucked out of F1, hes just an idiot whos bought a seat, he cant actually drive. He did do one thing useful but I wont go into details in case someone hasn't seen the race :)

This is going to roll on and on, I am probably going to be killed for this, but I have a different view on that incident.

The one at the end? I don't believe it was Maldonado's fault really, he should have been given more room, but he was pushing people off track earlier on which annoyed me, and in several races previous. Personally I think some drivers should give each other more room, the races are better and more fair that way as todays race proved with some great driving and overtakes. :)

Say that on twitter and get ready to write your last will and testament.

Personally I do agree with you on that point and said immediately that it wasn't all Maldonaldo's fault and that Lewis should of given him space. At the point of contact Maldonaldo wasn't off the track and he was able to get off the kerb, half was in mid air because the kerb and half on the track.

The only incident I got wrong was Massa, Kobayashi.

Artmann- Yes, I have had bad luck:( But so have a lot of others so I hope that karma will ride to the rescue!

Indy- Dammit man, ill try and remember to update soon :(

A very exciting F1 race indeed, I am gutted Jensen's team are not getting his car to perform though. I think the incident near the end was more Hamilton than Maldonado personally.

anyone up for a f1 2011 valencia race?

No chance that was Hamiltons fault, Maldonado was off the track, then bossed himself back on!
he should have cut the corner after he went too deep.

Great race though, abit annoyed at grosjean out aswell :(

But at the point Maldonado went to come back on track he steered his car onto the kerb, and I think the car bottomed out and he was beeched while moving straight into Hamilton. You could see he was turning left but the car carried on.
Personally I think it was possible 60% Hamilton's fault.

SM- I got work mate. I was really disappointed for Grosjean too, he has a great future in F1.

Pagey- Agreed, it wasnt terrible like last seasons efforts but was 60-40 hamiltons fault for not going wide at the end to give room.

Damn, you guys almost ruined the race for me :)

The race doesn't air here till past 12, so I don't know the results yet, plus I'm at work so I will be watching it tonight after work.

All I know is that Maldonado did something bad from reading the first line in one of your posts:)

OMG sorry Ronin. I never look on here until after the F1. From now on all talk of F1 is banned until 24 hours after the race!!!

All I can say that was an interesting race and another incident with the German but still good but sad that the streak of a unique driver winning a gp ah well, but anyway I ended up watching the NASCAR @ Sonoma race today and that was a nail-biter as well 👍 :)

Worst thing ever, never watch the news or read texts from friends during a sporting weekend as you will mostly be frustrated ronin. I had a friend who called me and wanted to tell me the F1 race results when i specifically told him that i had recorded it and didn't want to know, next thing he sends me a text with the results and its hard not to look at them coz your brain is quicker than your eyes so i saw the top 5 finishers from the text and never bothered watching the race.
So, i agree with Brett, no sport talk till at least 48hrs after.

Good advice fellas, I will take note.

This season of f1 is by far the best ever, and I have been watching since 98. What an exciting race yet again!!

Fantastic stuff Ronin. Its great that there are so many different winners and the title is available for at least 10 drivers still 👍

Just realized that it's my anniversary on Wednesday so I can't make it this week. Sorry. Will catch up with you lot next week ;)

I beg to differ, i think if you are off the track, you should definitely slow down and give way. Just as you should when you overshoot a chicane, you cant then race with other guy when you miss a chicane, so same rule applies. Also, if you are behind and trying to overtake, you can see where the other guy is so its up to you to make a decission as to whether there is enough room or not. Both cars had worn out tyres so it was fair game but making lunges like that was not on, Maldonado is not patient and nearly ran into the back of Alonso at Albert Park on the lawt few laps and ended up crashing.
My 2 cents :D

ArtMannn
Balanced, were your eyes closed in the first few laps when Vettel was going more than a second faster than anyone else? :D

That was mostly because of Hamiltons bad race pace holding people up along with a few other slow people up front, he should really stop concentrating on quali setup.

Wordup- I am glad you are still with us 👍 see you the week after next :D

Indy/Art/Spurg- Vettel was so much quicker, every time he pulls a lead like that I think of the boring season when he first won the title. F1 needs the excitement of close races with big incidents (varied podiums, breakdowns, crashes) to attract more fans and keep the old ones keen.

Off to Catalunya next :) I wonder what europe will bring, hopefully a bit of luck for me!!

Good thing I watch it on the BBC instead of sky, they generally make it sound more exciting.

Art- In titled to your opinion although I do not agree with it.

So Guys, I heard on the radio that a Chinese man died of exhaustion for staying up 11 days straight watching the Euro Cup

Yes, I read that in the posh broadsheet newspaper that I read (the sun ) its a bit like that guy who died playing world of warcraft for 7 full days straight! Or like spurgey practising for the FGTC ;)

I have had no practice at Catalunya and am coming off a 12 hour nightshift myself , I hope I make it to the end of the race without passing out myself!

I've only had 45 minutes practice, and I equalled the pole lap from the other championship. But I don't know how fast they are compared to the top dogs in this one.

Dude, can I give you a bit of advice (ellis style). Just relax on the first few laps, thats when you seem to get problems you need to get into a rhythym just like when your with a lady
