Cannot get all cars - pesky invitations!

I've been playing since launch and decided to go for it and collect all the cars. I'm almost there - 7 to go. The problem is 4 of them require invitations which I never seem to get (3 of them are Ferraris). This seems like a real flaw in the game. Perhaps if they introduced some sort of challenge where you could win the invitations? All I can do now is do the minimum every day for a lottery ticket and hope for the best. It's been a year since I got an invitation for something I actually needed.

You are not alone on this.
You are not the first on this.
You are not going to be the last one.

But unfortunatly no matter how many people will repeat it, it wont change, because it still hasnt changed.

The maths says that if you're Collector Level 50 and do your Daily Workout every day, you should get between one and two Invitations a month. We have no idea how the specific brand in the Invitation is determined though so there's no way of telling which one you'll get; if they are drawn completely at random, you should get one or two for each brand every year. From doing the Daily Workout every day.

It's worth noting that ticket rewards (except credits) can (but the odds are small) change to another reward of the same type after a content update.

You can retain any ticket after opening it by directly exiting the game; once you back out of the Gifts menu the ticket reward saves, so you can open as many as you want and then restore them by exiting the game from the PS menu.

Thus if you receive an Invitation for the wrong brand, you can retain that ticket and then wait to open it again after the next content update (such as this week's) and it might change to a different brand. If it doesn't, you've lost nothing by trying.

Yeah, its about 17/1 that you get an invite from a daily at the higher collector levels, IIRC.

I've played since launch and have all the cars and have had most, if not all, the invites more than once, so those odds seem fairly realistic in my experience.

Wasn't everyone given all the invites at some stage?

Took me almost 2 years to get an Aston Martin Invitation, it's just the unfortunate roll of chance a mechanic PD implemented.
@Famine suggestions are a much better idea for them

For a month, just after launch, due to a glitch which prematurely expired them.

I've been playing GT7 since it's launch. In this time I have gotten all the invitations and was able to acquire all the invite cars.
I Did get lucky twice without invite's though. Last year I received a Porsche Carrera GT as my birthday gift. Recently I received a Ferrari Enzo as prize car from a 6 star car ticket that was awarded from the weekly races.

Luck on the matter differs widely among players.

Took me more than 2 years to get a Lambo invite. In the meantime I've been showered with Ferrari invites (9 invites received for this brand at the moment).

Been lucky to win the Porsche with the roulette.

Yep.

That's how I got all the invite only cars.

As soon as that happened I knew I had 1 month to buy them all. Didn't worry about getting any other vehicles.

yeah, while it may be true that random selection should give one or two of each brand's invite per year, it's also true that random selection means one might not get a given invite for a year or 2 or more if very unlucky. I've been pretty lucky actually. I was able to get all the invite cars within about 10 months of having the game and I'm pretty sure I've had each brand on at least a couple of occasions. But that won't be true for everyone, because randomness.
