Glad to hear you got it straightened out, I think I'll make a note in the OP since this issue effects everyone. 👍

We already have a driver with black car/black wheels. I don't mind if you both have the same colors but I think we all prefer to see lots of different colors so we can learn to spot other drivers by their car color alone. Whenever I see a Capp Cup picture and there's a pink Cappy in there I know it's Snoopy. :) Just thought I'd point that out in case you hadn't noticed that somebody already had an all black car.

Oh alright, than keep it the way it was than. I let the other lad keep the black on black. Didn't realize it. :D

By the way, if anyone wants an idea of the track time for Cape South, i got down to 1:28-1:29.

Waznz (waznz) colours to be decided sorry have had so little time in game lately but planning either new capp or new paint on the old capp.
Friday and saturday racing, primary day saturday.
See ya on the track soon!!

I was getting pretty worried about 25s and 26s. I could manage some scruffy high 29s with 133hp but i'm going to aim for 28s by next saturday. I was getting worried about what i'd let myself in for!

Yeah, I might have overestimated a bit. Lancer is usually one of the faster drivers so I'd guess mid to high 1:26's will be the fastest times set. I broke in to the 1:28's a couple times but was mainly hovering in the low :29's. I think the bulk of the field will be in the 1:28.5xx to 1:29.5xx range. 👍

I've added a poll to the OP for everyone to vote on which custom track you would like to run for Round 4. I will have one shared for download later today, I will have a volunteer (Owens?) share another one and GTP_LancerEvo7 will post his track candidate so starting this evening everyone should be able to start downloading the custom tracks and give them some test drives.

We will keep the tracks posted for the next 2-3 weeks so everyone has a chance to download them and vote on them. 👍

I think one of the faster wheel drivers could possibly just get in the 1:25 range, but I'm thinking mostly 1:26s too.

My best lap so far was 1:30 flat, but I'm betting I've got a full second lost in-between the two painted hairpins that I havn't nailed a line through yet. Luckily, Lancer was kind enough to lead a few laps during our short race last night, and I'll be studying the replay tonight!:mischievous:

I'm still having major problems putting the power down out of turn 1. Even if I don't touch the throttle I'm on the verge of spinning. To get through cleanly I have to be so cautious that I'm probably losing close to 1 second per lap. I did a chassis restoration last night, I'll see if that helped at all. My Capp was very stable last season but on Cape Ring it's wanting to spin on every turn except the last 2 hairpins. We ran Clubman after Cape Ring and my Capp felt totally different, way more stable on that track and I was able to put down lap times that were within 2 tenths of the 1:00 mark.

#21 BrosifDuder (BrosifDuder) Capri Blau / Passionate Pink *Tuesday*

You do realize that you'll have to take a 200kg weight penalty this season, right? That's the price of victory. I know I put that in the regulations somewhere.............

Sounds good to me! :dopey:

I figure I should be running the #1 plate this season but I have to stick with my trusty #21. And depending on the color distribution of the field I might be switching to my traditional body color of purple.

I vote to put Brosif in a Blue/pink Prius... That might actually give me a chance to pass him:P

I still rockin' the gold right now but I'll be going to the paint shop soon to see what I can come up with. Had some interesting color combination's out there last night!

I reckon this is the only way we can stop him:

Rather unfortunately I take part in a TOCA Race Series on Saturday which starts at 8 :(

Was wondering if it is worth seeing if there is a weeknight that suits most of us Europeans - Perhaps something to work on for Season 3? It would have the possibility of extending the series to four nights a week but I for one would be happy to host.

I'd love to be able to race more than one night in the series, but timezones mean Tuesday's and Thursday's races are in the wee small hours.

Now I've got the "Invincability Song" stuck in my head...:P

Add. And now it's also stuck in everyone else's heads

We could possibly due that if you're willing to host. My work schedule during the week doesn't allow me to be around during a time that would work for the European crowd since the earliest I arrive home is between 8-9pm GMT.

One idea would be to host a double-header on Tuesday's at 6pm and 8pm EDT, the first race would be 10pm GMT which may or may not be too late on a weeknight for some people. I would be able to host both of those if the time slots worked for the European crowd. I'd be afraid that would thin out the races too much. Our current schedule is meant to have 1 night available for multiple regions (Tues. is for East Coast U.S., Fri. is for West Coast U.S./AUS/N.Z. and Sat. is for Europe) but there is of course some overlap with time zones so some drivers are able to participate in multiple races per week.

Of course the easiest solution would be to have all the European and AUS/N.Z. drivers relocate to the Central U.S. so time zones would never be an issue.

You mean this one??

(What was it somebody said about us being the most easily distracted group on GTP?? lol)

What about just an GMT-friendly-only series? Same cars/rules, except in a new thread with only folks in that time zone?

Good stuff. Yes, I will have that stuck in my head for the rest of the week. 👍

I like this a lot, I wanna make it work. I'd need a couple volunteers to host the races of course, and maybe a GMT social group. I could probably run both threads or figure out a way to integrate them both into 1 thread but branch off to their respective social groups.

Thoughts?

Be kinda fun to take the top 5 from each Region and have a champions battle. Or a One on One shootout from the top points champion. 5 lap shoot out on a voted track by the racers.

I would have posted sooner, but I've been tied up with the Lotus stuff, so yeah.

I can host on a weekday, but I wouldn't like to be in a completely separate group. We have two races (Tuesday and Friday) for the USA and that side of the globe. So we could fit in a European race, say on a Wednesday. We can have a poll and see what time suits us all over this side of the globe - With the Saturday race being at 8PM London time, perhaps a slightly earlier one would suit all those east of London.

There's too much work in there and too much commitment being asked for if you were to host all four (or more) races Brandon. The first rule of command is to delegate! :)

Having two groups could split the series up too much, although I quite like the idea for an inter-series race. If we did go with just one more race, then perhaps the top four points scorers (primary points night) from each series could meet.

Alternatively, we could run two European races on the same night as the two USA races. Then have Saturday as a fun/official practise night where everyone can join in.

One sticking point could be the number of European drivers: Do you have any stats on that?

Use Saturdays as a Practice tuning session for the next weeks track also do it with 5-10 lap sprints mixed in every say 15-20 minutes. So it's racing and tuning.
