any more practice days planned? I wanted to come last night but i could not make it.

I'll probably be doing some practice tomorrow. If I open a room I'll post details here.

Ok, finally got my car sorted:

#51 Waznz (waznz)
Bleu iliade/Bleu iliade
Friday/saturday
Primary race day Saturday

Cheers Brandon!!

I finally broke the 1'26 barrier with a 1'26.813. I know I can still get between 0.2-0.5 seconds lower than that.

I haven't been below 1:28 yet but I have to be so conservative through the first turn that I know I'm loosing at least a second there alone. I'm sure if Brosif ever shows up he'll be in the 1:25's. 8)

Sorry I wasn't around for any practice sessions this weekend, had a pretty busy couple of days and wasn't around the PS3 much. I still need to do some fine-tuning to my Capp to get around Cape Ring a little better so I'll have a lounge open this evening if anybody wants to join up. I'll post details here when I do, probably around or after 6pm EDT.

Just a friendly reminder, Season 2 officially starts tomorrow so make sure you're Capp's are in shape and ready to run! My lounge will open tomorrow at 7pm EDT for one final hour of practice before the race starts.

#15 /gatorchad (gatorchad): TBD (blue) / TBD (black)
Primary race day: Tuesday

Don't remember the exact colors, I will need to look them up when I get home.

No problem, I've got you added to the list and I'll update your colors after you confirm them. 👍

Whoops! Knew I was forgetting too do something.

To be honest, I haven’t spent much time behind the wheel at Cape Ring South. I can’t stand the full layout and have never been in a series that has scheduled any version other than Cape Ring Inside. I cannot picture a lap in my head and I don’t even know if it is a clockwise or anti-clockwise track. I am planning on familiarizing myself with the track tonight and am hoping it doesn’t take me too long to get up to speed. It should be an interesting night.

I don't like any of the other Cape Ring layout's either, but this one seemed to be a pretty good fit for the Capp's because it has a high emphasis on keeping your momentum up through some tricky turns. I think it only shares a very small part of Cape Ring Inside, and it's anti-clockwise.

The first turn usually has had a bunch of skid marks at the end of it during our practice sessions, mainly because I can't keep my back-end planted through it. lol

And while everyone else is trying not to spin I'm trying not to plant my front end in the outside wall... :D

I think I'm going to buy a new Capp tonight to see if it can handle that first turn better. You keep mentioning that your new Capp pushes like crazy while mine spins like crazy and doing the chassis restoration didn't fix it. Capp's are cheap so buying a new one might be easier than trying to tame this one. lol The last 2 hairpins are the only place my car doesn't want to spin around, even the long sweepers make it want to kick the back end out. But on other tracks the car handles great as it is, so I might have to build a special car just for Cape Ring S. :sly:

That's the problem i have as well. First Turn is a nightmare while the rest of the track is relatively under control.

Hey guys, I'm running a Capp series that may eventually become a feeder series to Capp Cup. I haven't gotten very many entries, but have seen some interest. Brandon has also been helping me out with some planning and advice. I'd like to run an exhibition race tomorrow before the Capp Cup race to possibly spark some interest.

My series has two classes. GT and ST. GT is basically a Capp Cup car without a turbo, while ST uses a non-RM Capp with non-adjustable parts. Parts list for ST can be found here.

I'm not sure as to the exact time the race will be held. It would be at Cape Ring Inside, so moving the barriers for the following Capp Cup race wouldn't take very long :D.

I'd like to say thanks for any help you guys can give me. See you on track.

EDIT: Also, if you'd like to sign up, click the red link in my sig.

I'll keep tabs on this, if we can get 6 or 8 people to show up we can do a race before the Capp Cup race. I'd think 6pm EDT would be a good time to open a room, we could have about 30 minutes of practice, a short qualifying session and race and then open a Capp Cup Room for practice by 7:15 EDT. I know several drivers can't seem to get enough of the Capp's so this will be a second source for your caffeine fix! 👍

Did you go for the new capp and if so how did it fair?
It would be interesting to compare the handling characteristics of new versus old with the same tune, especially as you'd done the chassis restoration.

Just out of interest, how many miles are on your old capp?

I did buy a new Capp, I took it out on Cape Ring South and it spun more than my old Capp! Even in a straight line it was incredibly unstable and just had gobs of oversteer if I even thought about turning the wheel. So I hopped back into the old Capp and after making a minor adjustment to the gearing it was actually handling pretty dang well. Lancer, torzilla and myself did a 5 lap race last night and not only did I keep it straight for the whole race I finished right on Lancer's bumper! It did take a soft touch to keep it under control but nothing outrageous, so I think I'm good to go for tonight. 👍

Sporting a new paintjob too, Imola Orange Pearl with black rims/red trim. It's on fire!!! :)

Good to know that Brandon. Still having problems keeping that car in check at turn 1. :ouch:

I found that raising my ride height and lowering the top speed of my transmission made a world of difference!

Is anybody planning on attending the exhibition event tonight for Lancer's league?
