I have loved this generation of Cosmo my whole life, ever since I saw my first one in about 1975. That side window treatment is a wonderful bit of architecture I don't think I've seen on another car.


1967-72 Mazda Cosmo - 1 of 1519 total. Possibly 1 of only 3 in the US.

Mind you I've never sat down and thought it out, but I'm pretty sure it's my favorite Mazda. It's also the only Cosmo that was available with a piston engine*, which is just gravy.

I know I've seen similar, but I can't name any at the moment. The closest I can come up with right now is a '75-7 LTD Landau.

*Okay, so they may not have been called Cosmo when so equipped, but it was still very much the same car.
