The easiest way to tell the difference between the real thing and a replica is to look at the wheels and tires and ride height. The original will have much narrower wheels and round-shoulder bias-ply tires and ride much higher.

But then none of that is subject to permanence, in fact it all can be modified without touching anything important. The car's chassis wasn't particularly groundbreaking.
