Iv'e been working on this of late. It's really quite rough and muddy at the moment, needs a good ol polish and the lines etc etc neatening up, but i'm pleased with it so far.

Bentley GT VGT:

@Cano Sorry, forgot to tag you initially. So you may not get this alert. đź‘Ť

I'm trying to place the inspiration for this. Bentley Blower? Or maybe the 8 Litre? I don't know much about Bentley so I'm interested.

I suppose the Blower mainly or maybe the 1930's 4 5 litre. Though I guess just Bentley of that generation really. đź‘Ť

A quick sketch because me and a friend were talking about it. A few safety considerations I forgot, so it's a pretty unrealistic concept.

 Insane!! The concept of the thing is awesome. It needs the blower on the grille to make it full-Bentley, but I like what I see. And dude the wheels, WHAT THE FU*** WITH THE WHEELS!
Thanks as always buddy đź‘Ť And yes it does need the blower but i'm going to make it smaller and more aerodynamically sound (shrouded).

EDIT: Ah screw it:

Love the Badass Hot-rod. You always manage to fit so much high detail in with that pen. đź‘Ť

Quickly threw this together earlier:

It's rough as heck and still needs more thought going into it, but i just wanted to rush some colour into it (similar to the Bentley). May do a neat version with a few changes.

Thundercougarfalconbird:

Dude that is utterly absolutely fantastic. It indeed deserves its names as it really resembles several Fords all at once, it indeed is absolutely recognizable as a Ford, whatever Ford. Do the neat sketch, do the neat sketch!

Also RAWRRRRRR:

Will do. Thanks man. đź‘Ť

Really digging the Gasser. I feel ashamed to ask.. but what is it? (you know my knowledge of American cars sucks).

The bullet front looks as though it could be a Stude, though to me i recognise it as the HW's Shoebox. (though
Obviously a more Awesomer! one).

Another design of my own that popped up serendipituously off my head:

Those VW's awesome (especially the Karmann), but i love the stuff you design off the top of your head. ^ đź‘Ť
I see the Shelby in it (not so much the Garaiya) and maybe a touch of Ginetta or Lotus Elan.

Trying to neaten up that Ford Thundercougarfalconbird. It's not finished yet but i'd thought i'd share it at this stage.
Thought i'd give it the name 'Ford Thundercat'. I think it may have lost some of the magic of the original, but that always seems to happen. It definitely has 50-60's Ford vibes about it, i didn't realise before but there seems to be a hint of MK1 Cortina.

That actually looks pretty good dude, love the wheels, altough something hinting at it's Ford heritage could sweeten the deal even more.

And I don't see no Cortina in there.

Any suggestions with regards to iconic Ford wheel designs? (my wheel knowledge is useless).

Another rough quickie.

Mmmmhhh... I think I might have hit a self-made wall in here, as for the time period the car reflects, there weren't really any Ford-distinctive wheel you could try to duplicate, most all of them were just mostly flat hubcaps with some Ford logo or detail on them. You could try and see if you like, for instance, 1968 Galaxie wheels, or mid-60s Thunderbird wheels, 1957 Fairlane wheels or something like that, but I'm not sure how they would go with your design.

Aaaaaaah dude, that front is SO evocative of the bulletnose '49. But the rear needs to be waaaay longer. Do you know why they were called "Business Coupes"?

Cheers man, i'll check those out.

Thanks man. đź‘Ť I'll try and make the rear longer. And no, i don't know why they were called "business coupes". Why were they called that?

Why, it's a great thing you asked! Back in the day, car makers did those for the people who ran rheir business from their car or whom had to travel around due to their work. To this end, they made the trunks of these "business" models far longer than normal coupes, in order to accomodate whatever the owner/operator of the vehicle needed to put in there, and if needed, even sleep in there. Some cars disguised it quite well:

While other made plenty sure you knew one when you saw it:

Wow, that's cool!

I feel like doing more sketches that incorporate that concept/purpose.

Thanks for the explanation, man. I love learning these new things. đź‘Ť

Glad to contribute đź‘Ť Search around for a normal '49 Ford Coupe and a Business and see for yourself the difference. I'd post pics but Google sucks now here at work for some reason :irked:

EDIT: Have some slicks. Notice the 2008-2010 date. I rough-traced this in 08, and finished it up in ´10, it seems.
