Great pics/designs guys,
@ Skython, that reminds me of a Ferrari too, or maybe a McLaren or Lola, looks real good though.

@ tonypanda, Thanks man, at the moment everything's done on paper, but i'm keeping my eyes open for a decent graphics tab... hopefully it will open up a whole new world for me in regards to polishing my technique maybe, length of time it takes to draw?... well it all depends really, if i have a firm idea in my head, it usually between 5-30 mins to do a rough pen sketch... add another 10-30 mins if adding a splash of colour, though i suppose it all depends on what quality i'm looking for... a finished pic/design (or close enough to make me happy) can take about 2-5 hours, which isn't exactly quick... but it's not like it's my profession or anything.
Ultimately, the time it takes for everyone will differ.

Really like that green car too, though i think it would look better if the bonnet/hood was slightly lighter in tone to match the highlighted plains on the rest of the car, (just my opinion) regardless, i think it still looks good.

@Cano,
I know.. i really feel like incorporating that design element, though i'm a bit reluctant too.. basically i was asked to come up with a redesign/sympathetic update of 3 cars.. the Hawk, the Lark and the Champ pick-up, and as far as i know (though i could be very wrong) none of those 3 featured that design element.... i'm glad you suggested it though, and the more i look at it, the more i think i should actually make it a feature, 1 things for sure, i'm finding it my hardest challenge yet, (having a creative block at the moment).

I like this one. It reminds me of the Ferrari Le Mans prototypes of the late 1960s.

Thanks, mate. Please don't ask me to draw a saloon because I'm not very good at proportions for them. :P

Thanks, I once had a design like the Mclaren M1A.

Anyway, was going through some old sketches, nothing special really, just random small (pretty scruffy) sketches, but i thought i'd share them anyway.

I know the quality's not really there, but again... i thought i'd share them anyway.

Quality is never a top factor in design sketches. Your designs are very modern feeling and concept like. Very good designs, bringing classic cars with modern tastes. 👍

Technicolors,Wyvern89, nice works =)
here is mine. from Elfen Lied aniime
There's 2 other threads more appropriate for non-car drawings, one of which is perfect for this.

Funnily enough, a nice looking sketch is more attention-grabbing than ideas... Notice the reaction people had when At1ness appeared out of nowhere?

lol, this is exactly why I haven't bothered posting my most recent stuff here. I only draw to get my ideas out of my head to better visualize them. If I like the idea enough, I usually use my drawings as blueprints for a 3d model. I might post a couple of the drawings I liked a lot later though. Just gotta get around to scanning them.

How do u like my new project? i would be glad to hear your advices
Its 90% ready for painting picture

Looks nice 👍 The vent in front however I think could look better if it was placed lower and widened a bit more.

Just found this awesome thread today. Here are some rough sketches(I mean real rough) I did more that a year ago when I was still in school. :) I drew them really small so please forgive the quality. :scared:

First an ugly Cobra.

This I imagine it as a half shark, half car. Maybe a Caterham style shark looking automobile? Lol

And this is something like the future concepts of Lotus line-up of sports cars. (Forgive the shark, I didn't crop it out since it is almost overlapping part of the car. If it is unacceptable in this thread please tell me, I'll remove it.)

Here's one I made just now:

The front's headlights does have influence of Porsche. The livery, interior, etc. does not. I'm going to line art it later on to make the drawing pop out a bit more.

3 new designs I decided to put on paper recently:
(Yeah so what if they are only profile views :P)

3_Supercars.jpg

Top:
Road legal (lol) V350T successor powered by a 1568 hp T800 turboshaft (RAH-66 Comanche engine). 341 mph (550 Km/h) top speed when running on race tires and with wheel aero covers. T800 linked to a CVT type transmission to eliminate lag and provide instant power. Carries over many of the tech tricks of V350T such as active suspension, active aero, AWD, etc. Weight will be around 950 kg.

Middle:
Chaparral 2J inspired LMP type race car using my 8.0L, 1400 hp Boxer 16 Quad Turbo motor. Uses a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox, along with a separate constant speed gearbox to drive to twin vacuum fans in the rear. Due to the use of vacuum fans, a rear wing isn't required, thus reducing drag. Also uses enclosed rear wheels like the 2J and Group C racers from years back. Will weigh around 900 kg and should be good for around 310 mph (500km/h) or so.

Bottom:
Small, light weight single seat road car similar to my old Raptor sports car, but mid-engined and more aerodynamic. It is powered by a naturally aspirated version of my 4.0L Boxer 8, making around 450 hp. Has a light-weight AWD system and a compact 6 speed dual clutch gearbox. Would weigh around 1400 lbs and will be devoid of the fancy tech of the above two cars. Just simple, light weight, and fun. Top speed is around 186 mph (300 km/h).

Like the designs Venom & AOS! 👍 By the way AOS did you use a tablet to draw? I think I'll invest in one someday because I draw way better with a tablet.

The middle one looks like a Mazda 787B with a Jet engine. :D Awesome! Well from my perspective of course.

And from my perspective. Though my favourite is the bottom one. Reminds me of the KTM X-Bow mixed with the Renault Spider. Though I reckon the dip of the body between the wheels should be raised of the back end be modified because it doesn't suit the shape of the front.

Haha, I guess the 2nd one does look a little like the 787B. I need to stop making my LMP coups look like that...
The 3rd one I kinda rushed, so I may go back and change some things. Probably will alter the front a bit, along with pushing the driver forward a little. That one is 2nd in line to be modeled, behind the LMP. Been wanting to do a fan car in 3d for a long while lol
Anyway thanks :)

I'd largely disagree to pushing the driver forward. But the only perspective I have to go on is its side profile. Though I may be wrong, it could be an improvement. I'd like to see where this goes.

@AOS.

Wow that's real good AOS!, i really like the loose flowing style you have... it's done with fair speed aswell, i also like the other design on your channel, but i think i prefer this one.. i think it's a good design, i especially like the roofline and how the windscreen rises above the side windows (nice touch), you really do make it look so easy to do.

Hopefully i should be investing in a graphics tab myself in the near future... i haven't got a very big budget, so 1 of those 1's where you can draw onto the actual screen is simply out of the question... but as much as i'm looking forward to aspects of using a tablet... i'm also dreading it a bit too, from what iv'e read.. it's like learning to draw all over again, so when i do get 1, i know i'm going to be very poor at it to begin with, i just hope i can adjust to it.

@tonypanda

Great design aswell tony, it kind of reminds me of a Aston Martin, but a shooting brake version, it will look even better once there's some colour in there,
as for what i use to colour... mainly marker pen and water colour pencil crayons, and sometimes a bit of chalk pastel (if i'm feeling confident).

@Venom800h

I like the 2nd design the best, it reminds me of a lot of Le-mans racers but i still think it's quite good, be great to see some different views of it.

PS, Cano.. hurry up and sort your PC out so we can see the rest of your work :D

I like looser sketches myself (because I can't do tight drawings), but it's also less enjoyable when I get all careful with my lines... my drawing instructors hate it when I work like this though.
