You're correct, it is a building. I realised that the only way you can make cars look truely shiny is 'drawing' the scene onto your car. If your car is located in a car park when you're drawing it, then you'd have to draw a car park onto your car that is distorted by the curves of the car. I only put that one reflection on though, otherwise things would get too complex.The... thing beside the mirror reflection. I thought it was a building but the reference picture is a studio shot. what the hell is that, then?

I know I'm repeating previous responses, but you are improving in your drawings. Just take your time through each piece you make. And observe the world around you as well, from reflections to tire camber. While I don't note them down in a journal or something, my observations led me to some pretty good conclusions (mostly all of them came from the more professional works on this thread ).
I'll perhaps even use some of your shading as a small 'benchmark' when I delve into realism
I think I'll take another crack at tooning a car.
Thank you for the suggestions and advice. I also look at cars in the real world and how I can apply it into my drawings.
