Impreza STi
Use the Taeivon Trampio FTO. It may have only 370 horsepower, but the lack of weight makes it a very fast car. You can also try the Cusco Impreza, because it too is a light car. However, as another forum member already said, get a Lancer Evo VI, tune it till its just under 591 horsepower, add slicks, weight loss, and you will never lose that cup!

That fto is damn cool. Because of the hp limits I did a lot of the game/earning money with that car. No spins!

i used the NSX type R (used the gameshark) and the Mustang Cobra '98.

both times i had about the same HP as the best car but i was heavier (damn impreza with its 400 hp and 2000 lbs)

For a real challenge, you could take a max tuned TT to the GT500. It's competitive in the 300 for sure, but the 500 is absolute hell.

A (R)-modded S2000 or Fiat Coupe, or SLK230 are some nice alternatives for this series. Tune anything to roughly 350-400hp and you should have a nice challenging race on your hands.

The Dodge Concept LM car should crush the opposition without too much difficulty. It's 526bhp, so just slap some super soft tyres on it and away you go. It can be a little atil happy though, so be careful with the throttle in the corners

GT300 is one of the most challenging races around. Mess up and it's not hard to lose. The cars above are ones that actually appear against you in the race. The most fun to be had in GT300 is driving one of these in the cup.

The RX-7 and the Impreza are too good and make GT300 a cakewalk. I wouldn't suggest using them unless you're a total n00b ;). The Silvias are somewhat less powerful, and make good racers in this cup. 👍 The FTO is very fast for a FF, and I must admit is fun to drive. Recommended. The Weds Celica is too heavy, however, and suffers in this event. The Trueno is great fun, but is a little weak and can't compete sometimes. Same with the Momo MR2. Overall the Celica, Trueno and MR2 will get creamed by an opposing Rx-7 and Cusco, unless you're very good, which I'm not.
If you're cheap: Cusco Impreza, Amemiya RX-7.
Balanced Rides: The Silvias, FTO.
Difficult: Celica, Trueno, MR2.

The GT300 cup highlights the following courses:
Grand Valley East- 5 laps.
Laguna Seca- 5 laps.
Deep Forest- 5 laps.
Midfield-5 laps
Apricot- you guessed it... 5 laps.
The prizes are 15k for individual first places and 100k bonus, along with another snazzy GT300 car. The length and difficulty of GT300 considered, it is probably the worst way to make money..
Share your GT300 experience, perhaps your best times and such. :)
