Just once I'd like to not get the impression that everyone in the modified watercooled Volkswagen community received the "slammed on BBS* mesh splits with 30-series rubber" memo.

As a not entirely unrelated aside, it appears to be a Kirkham, and that would suggest it's actually polished aluminum rather than chrome. The result is not quite so much brilliance, and you can pick up on a hint of swirl from the metal polishing process that simply isn't there with chrome. Even with that difference, it's still too far for me.
