Smeg. maybe you can pick up a cheap beater or something? I mean, the shop didn't even give you a loaner? I'd think any reputable shop would...

I know what you feel like Brad, when my car got repaired i was without it for like 2 weeks!! OMG WTF BBQ!!. Having no car is a major pain... Hopefully it finishes on time and comes back all new and shiny!!

Ugh, you people and fixing your cars to make them look perfect. It's just going to get hit again, it's really not worth the trouble or money. When I drifted myself into a light pole last winter I didn't call the insurance company and go get a quote for a new fuel tank.

Apparently your insurance rates don't go up in Australia, but here they go up no matter who's fault the incident is, so I pay it for a few reasons, one is to be legal, and the other is to get paid off when the car it totalled. So far I've never had to use anything in between, it's either been totalled or not, and when it's not the damage has been something I'm not too bothered about, and therefore not worth calling the insurance company and jacking up my premiums over.

We have third party bodily (personal) included in our registration of the car through the government, no further insurance is legally required.

But you are still paying for insurance :P

I think everyone should have to have some liability insurance, regardless.

Yeah it only goes up here, with most insurance companies, if you're in an at fault accident. Why should your insurance go up if you're not at fault? I've had to go through insurance 3 times and all of which happened when my cars been parked and I haven't even been in it.

Having no third party insurance here is insane, it's only about $500 and covers all damages to others car and property. It's all I have, as full cover for my car is around 2k a year with a 1k excess. Not worth it in my opinion.

Nice car, I love that body style. As for rims (I like the 3 spokes!) another opton is Volvo rims. They are quite popular within the Saab community.

Volvo "Pegasus" rims look hot on Saabs.

Again I love your car and wish you good luck.

Being under 25 and getting insurance definitely eats poop though, even when my parents are the "main drivers" of my old 1989 Vitara it's like $1k a year for basic insurance. Not that I pay it though (only child = spoilt) :sly:

I'm not going to ask how a person could fail to see a blindingly red car because my mom backed into the door of my old Civic. That sucks about your fender, that car looked hella nice too. There goes the original paint lol, never gonna look the same again.

Nah new neighbours. Same house though. It must be some kind of Street initiation I'm not aware of to run into my car.

Sucks cause I can't open my door. So I have to climb over. Also makes a horrid sound over bumps where I think that inside fender bit bangs into the wheel.

So I've now been in 3 accidents. All of which have been when I haven't been in my car...

Maybe I should buy a back-up car, or maybe get a decoy?

Maybe I should get a house with a driveway or garage...
Maybe you should get your womans to pony up and start helping out with the mortgage so you can save up and build a garage like the burly Australian man you are.

Nah, just out of inconvenience...

Suspension is sounding a bit creaky on that side now. Hopefully it's not enough damage underneath to be a write off....

BTW, Saab's aren't allowed in the new "cool" Members ride section, because well.... they aren't cool.
