I love that 155 for the record, one of my all-time favorites for Sarthe. Pretty sure I have not driven the Megane Trophy yet.

Sadly, my part in this thread has always been exclusive to road cars. Race car tunes seem to be more abundant and tend to be much better ‘out of the box’. I just like driving road cars I guess. :dunce:

This is actually very nice ‘out-of-the-box’, although I have to imagine a tune would only help her.

Ever tried the LT1 MX5?
Yes, to varying degrees of success, not since 1.23 though, I’m sure there are a number of differences. According to my commentary to k20, stupid fast and ****** economy were the key take-aways at the time. It does seem that I never got anything close to a ‘clean’ test with the car/tune, poor weather in every case.

When I get to Mazda, rest-assured I will test it again.

What was it like pre 1.23? I never tried it before 1.25 lol

I noted that I believed it could break 4:00, indeed it did, just not for me, lol. It would appear I never actually got a full 7 laps due to my frustration with the weather.

Well, well, well.

What a little monster this is. Certainly can get squirrely on corner exit, but why wouldnt it with 500+HP?

It struggles under brakes. You need to break early, and then, probably even earlier.

I was going to attempt putting RH tyres on and upping the power for Le Mans, but the game will let me max it out at over 800HP and still be 680PP........ I decided to just run it as you have posted.

What a decision. Its fast as a whippet. I ran FM6 with some early shifting for the opening dry laps (3). Then I changed to IM's and TC1 (wore the RS's out completely having corner exit fun) then I pit again for RS. Fuel save on the first lap, then ran FM2 on the last lap. Managed a 3:58 with a still wet track. Incredible.
Well I got the gearing sorted out and while it did make the car a bit easier to drive, the game simply won’t allow me to fully realize its potential due to the faulty weather system. Its really a shame as I was definitely on target for a sub-4:00 lap today.

Unrivaled acceleration and incredible braking are also completely hampered by brutal fuel economy. In fact, I tested both for 1 lap (equal upgrades) and the C7 turns a lap with 69% remaining at FM6, the Roadster, despite weighing 460 pounds less, comes in at 63%, how does that work?

I will try again tomorrow, frustration has bested me this day.

NOTE: This is not an indictment of your tune, it gets up and goes like a bat out of Hell!
New day, new drive, more importantly, a new attitude. I didn’t try and force the car to perform in a way that it isn’t able to and the results were much more consistent. Someday, I’ll get lucky and the track will stay dry for 30 mins, today was not that day. It was all going pretty well until just before that final chicane. I hit it at the same speed and angle of attack I usually do, but upon viewing the replay, discovered I let a tire slip into the margins where it was still quite wet which resulted in a catastrophic slide that cost me my hot lap time.

As stated before, acceleration, top speed and braking are highlights of this car, cornering and throttle-mashing are not. Keep a steady pedal and be conservative in the corners and aggressive in the straights and this car will serve you well. I still don’t understand the fuel economy when compared to the ‘Vette that the block comes from, but hey, PD-logic I guess.

That 911 '81 tune is really good. Probably the best handling Porsche tune I have found on gtplanet. Great job 👍

This car gave me absolute fits and once I finally got her dialed in, the weather played havoc with me. It took 3 attempts just to get an actual Best Lap and it was mediocre and not indicative of the car’s potential. I managed a 4:14, 4:11 and 4:13 opening lap in the 3 races and the Best Lap came out to a 4:18.xxx. I really despise the rigged weather system in this game. The final race hit me with 3 separate rain storms…in 7 laps. That’s not dynamic, its cheating horse-****. The car has very good potential, the game never allowed me to tap into it unfortunately and I can’t afford anymore time in this car today.

This MP4-12C is really good. What a gas guzzler, though. Gonna try spreading those gears and see if that helps. Great top speed at FM4. Fastest lap using FM4 with IM tires. Thanks

Lowering the final gear helped top speed go over 190 mph and short shifting got me three laps at FM6. The torque peaks at around 3500rpm. I do believe you use AT, but this could help others get three laps. Top car for me. Thanks for the tweaks to Exeter's tune.

My first time posting so apologies if this isn’t the format you prefer.

Struggled with this car initially but think I’ve found a good balance of grip/speed and is much safer to drive. The biggest issue for me was eliminating the rear wheel spin, now it’s not a problem. The 50:50 weight balance and rear down force was key. Suspension is a little stiff but I prefer it this way. I’ve tried the same setting with maxed engine upgrades and isn’t as performant. Could use some help on the gearbox (stock ratios) but this worked well on Nord; haven’t tried on LM yet. Certainly open to suggestions to make better.

Is it possible to get your full setup?

I used the setup Live25 has listed in his "spoiler" for the MP4-12C. Just lower the final gear to reach 345 kph in 7th gear.

Thanks mate 👍
I was confused because in your Screenshot there is a higher max rpm in the setup gearbox Window than in the setup of Live25.
I will try the setup like you said from Live25 with the changed Vmax of 345 in 7th gear.
Thanks again mate ✌️
