Up for trade is a 1970 Chaparral 2J Race Car​

Information​

This is Jim Hall's famous ground effect car that competed in the 1970 CanAm Series and was subsequently banned a year later. Two snowmobile engines power fans at the back of the car that suck air from underneath, drastically helping it stick to the road.

This car has been fully modified with a Stage 3 Turbo Kit bringing it's hp from 663 to 742. Stage 2 is included as well so the car can be downtuned to meet restrictions.

The 2J's transmission is a 3 speed and takes a little getting used to after driving 5 and 6 speed cars. Acceleration from a dig is very sluggish but it will more than make up for any ground lost once it gets moving. The handling takes some getting used as well. The closest thing I can compare it to is a modern LMP. It oversteers a good bit in it's stock setup.

The car currently has 12.2 miles on it.

The 2J weighs 821kg

Settings in the car have not been tampered with

Soft Racing Slicks are installed on the car and sets of Medium Slicks, Hard Slicks, and Soft Sport tires are included with the car.

The chassis has been reinforced but has not been refreshed. The oil has been changed after every run and the car is always washed.

NOTE:I have no experience trading so I would like for us to both swap paint chips to make sure everything is going to work right. We will then give them both back to their respective owners and continue with the real trade.

It be better to send paint then send the cars, because sending a cheap car will use up the one trade perday limit. I do have Nomad Diablo GT-1 JGTC '00 but it is a better car than the 2J sorry.(Although it looks like same model as in GT3 )

That'd work to. I just want to make sure I am doing this right. I would feel like crap if I caused someone to lose their car.

Any more info (Mods,pics,etc.)? I would love to have one but I would like to give it a little more time though to see if anyone offers something I want more. If no one does by this time tomorrow, it's a deal.
