KnellyStill the later the better. Still looking for at least a 10:30 GMT start. Please.
The Sprint Cup is full. If a Sprint Cup driver is absent, the five team owners have Nationwide Series drivers ready to fill in as a reserve driver.
See this post for all the drivers in line ahead of you:

You need to check and see if there are any owners still looking for Nationwide drivers, or reserves for the Nationwide Series. If you can't find a seat there, you might want to try racing in the NASCAR Truck series that Furi is running.

You're going to have to start at the bottom, show you can drive clean, and work your way back up if you want to get back to the Sprint Cup.
TomMcDGood news about the gap week as i'm in Madrid that weekend 👍
Take into account guys that the Nationwide DRIVE4COPD 300 is before the 500, so a later start for the Sprint Cup would allow people to take part in both or simply wactch the Nationwdie race on the stream. Having the Cup race too early would result in a reduced turnout for one of the biggest races of the NW season.
What about running the DRIVE4COPD 300 during the Sprint Cup's off week after the 500 and before Indy? That would give both season-opening races their own weekend to stand alone. Run a short test race at Daytona again the weekend of the 500, as more Daytona experience for the Nationwide drivers before their 300-miler can only help.
Plus, I can't imagine anyone really needs to run 800 miles of Daytona in a single day.
TomMcDOr just start the season for Nationwide this week like the original plan was?
Ideally, I would like to make it so that Full-Time Nationwide drivers can participate in the Sprint All-Star race. As long as the Nationwide schedule has a break that allows for that, I really don't mind how you guys decide to do it. I do think that more practice races before you start counting points is a good idea, though.
MÜLE_9242;6808915I am 100% for starting later. The later the better for me, honestly.
Starting later means I'm out 👎 10pm UK time is my latest start time.

If we start 6 Est while the clocks are as they are, when ours change can we keep 6 Est? Be mega helpful
Dude why are you guys wanting to change the time slot this late in the game, after we got everything ready to kick off? Just adjust for next weeks shoot out and the 500. Take the week off for Droptop and resume the normal schedule for the remaining series. If you change the time slot there will only be at most two cars for HMS to run in the 400, 500 and 600. And maybe even the 350. I don't have an official fourth car now. And I can't do it. So that leaves two drivers for my team. That's bs. Are you all trying to get rid of my team? I guess that's the option since everyone else wants to switch.
Let me know what your decision is as you now know this sudden change will majorily affect an established team.
Yeah, I can start later, and some people are upset or unable to attend (Crazy and Furi), and even more drivers would miss the longer races.
If I keep the start time where it's at, Knelly catches grief at home for starting too early.
What would you do in my place?
I can't just pick a side, as it looks like I'm favoring a certain driver over another, which is something I'm never going to do.
Since everyone signed up knowing what time we normally run, I'm inclined to not change the start time for the whole season, and just maintain the status quo.
