Talk about a massive failure of government intervention in way of family planning/population control...the shocking irony is the fact you have countries in the west(Europe in particular) who decried China's policy are now facing their own demographic nightmares.

What exactly is the connection between pointing out that a one child policy is a gross human rights violation and having demographic issues?

China have rules about the number of children a family can have... it used to be one and now it's two. What's your point? No mention at all of the wider 5 year plan?

Telling us to...

Talk about a massive failure of government intervention in way of family planning/population control

...isn't much of an instruction when you don't do so yourself.

The only irony here is the misuse of the word irony. In that, irony is the exact opposite of intent or meaning, not coincide, as is the case in both examples here...

Please don't tell me that you educated people here believed that in a country like China a policy like that was able to be enforced against the levels of corruption present there?

I know for fact that very few people observed the law and that anyone outside of a major city completely ignored it. Those that did choose to have just the one child (outside of the big cities) usually did so for other reasons and not to comply with state regulations.

While it's true that anyone having more than one child was fined or that child wasn't eligible for a citizenship ID these consequences were really only seen by a small fraction of families.

He should call it "China's Former One-Child Policy" at least, or get his facts right. I suspect that neither may happen, @A2K78 has a habit of spaffing these threads out willy-nilly, at least in my opinion.
