He didn't specify on it.

That brings some hope that maybe...there'll be some more tracks that are drift orientated or just more cars. D1 cars would be nice.
LOL that was me. Why you gotta steal my shine bro

If ever there will be drift cars in GT Sport, they need to make a class called "Gr. D" just for them.

I like that idea a lot, rather than expecting drift-spec cars to compete in more typical racing formats. Plus, there seems to be a decent amount of cars already. IIRC, at the minimum, there's the Falken RX-7 FC I mentioned, but also both Blitz-tuned R34s, and the HKS Silvia.

And we need a great mixture of drift cars too. Ones from both Formula D and also the 2017 D1 Grand Prix and even the Japspeed cars.

It would be nice to get some sort of confirmation from Kaz/PD about this or any DLC.
I've been playing GT3, GT4 and GT5 for the past 2 days to recap on the content in these
versions of GT, and this really makes Gran Turismo Sport seem very thin on the ground.
Don't get me wrong, I really think GT Sport is great and it will grow as time goes on :)

The addition of the Formula D 370Z is interesting, i'm curious to see how it gets implemented into GT Sport.

If we do see D1GP cars , i'd love to see these.

Dude, at this point, we'd need another thread to showcase our Group D DLC ideas.

To be honest PD have quinte an history of supposed cars that never seen the light of day. How many SEMA awards cars are we still waiting?

The ones from 2012 to 2017. Given the focus of GT Sport it's not surprising that they're missing though. Either they're not planning on adding them at all, or they gave priority to filling the classes before adding other types of cars. We'll see what happens.

Either they’re holding everything off for “GT7” or we’re going to see major changes and updates to GTS in the upcoming months. This is pure speculation of course, but I don’t see how they could possibly merge all they’re other content into GTS in its current state.

SEMA cars were never promised to be in the next GT obligatorily, so don't be surprised they aren't in GT6 and GT Sport.

Pretty simple IMO. They have N(X00) classes, they have Gr.X for assorted cars, Gr.2 coming soon for Super GT, a possible Gr.D.

If they need to they can make as many new classes as needed. N classes are their best bet though.

I guess this is true. GR.X needs a big overhaul imo though, but that’s getting off topic.

I hope as they start to add in more cars across different classes that there are more events to accompany the changes. It’s cool they’re adding in this 370Z, but if there are no real events to use it in, then what’s the point.

Can you link me the full video of this drift or the pic where find from the article. Thank you.

Not too big on drift cars, though it's nice to see a 370Z. Hopefully they'll have it in stock as well, perhaps even in Gr.4; only time can tell.

At this point I just want something... anything new in the game either this or next month. The game's been out for exactly a month now and there hasn't even been a whisper of post-release content from official sources. Pretty soon people are going to start moving on to other games. I understand they're currently trying to tweak and prep the Sport mode for its coming championships, but TBH I don't think most players even care about it, let alone have the free time to participate. I know I don't.

Yes but if someone at Pd said these cars will be included in a future GT game and for whatever reason not delivering after 5 years... we all know when Kaz say something he usually tends to exagerate.

This is the first game since GT6 though. And as I said, it's understandable that they gave priority to filling the classes this time around, since that's what the game revolves around.

The SEMA and Pebble Beach winners will arrive, sooner or later. The only question is whether it's going to be in GT Sport or in a future title.

Finally a car with some real steering angle. Most of the street cars and Gr. 4 cars are good, but not enough for high horsepower, high angle drifting
