Why the name? Actually it's one of my old user names when I last played on the Gran Turismo series back in GT5 Prologue, dabbled in a bit of tuning back in those days, you can still see my old username and some of my previous builds.
Back then my PS3 fried and that was the end of my GT days until I picked up another one in November 2013. Think I've got the bug again :)
In the between years I could be found racing and tuning on the Forza series under the name of HandheldBee9 in Forza 4 or back in Forza 3 as Cashwars.

My builds are more about getting me from start to finish in hopefully first place but more importantly to me, with some entertainment along the way, in the form of some close and hard racing. If you want a ballz out fast/perfect build and to decimate your opposition, there's plenty of tuners who grace the tuning section here at GTPlanet who can cater for your needs.

Most stuff I do is kind of de-tuned, not really one to max a car out and max my car out to the race specifications, sure you can learn how to keep those beasts on the road and all those horses under your thumb/finger/foot can get you out of trouble when needed. Whereas I try to race underpowered/under PP'd/overweight, usually one or the other because I believe you can gain more from trying to win in this type of set up as you need to look for the draft/space/tight turn/braking point etc etc to find those extra tenths you may need which can sometimes be the difference between the top step and the bottom step on the podium.

So whether you know me as Bee_Bee9, Chunkee_Monkey, HandheldBee9 or Cashwars (Bit of an identity crisis going on by the looks of it) or I'm new to you I hope you get some enjoyment out of my builds. If you do try please leave some feedback, negative feedback can always produce positive results if I can take on board and understand what went wrong.

Additional Information: First thanks to @pipntick who took the time to run the car, plenty of feedback on other cars he's running in this thread.
He makes mention about the gearbox, yes it's a little long, should handle more power. I sometimes take my cars to Mount Panaroma to see how they cope with the decent as you get some serious speed up down there and could potentially pick up some easy draft. But not long ago a thread went up by @tkc_cz who took the time to build a little app to set your gearing (here), once you knew your top speed, I thought this was a neat little addition to the Tuning section and could make life easier for those who are thinking about sticking their toes in the water and making an attempt at tuning, so decided I would build the odd cars and use this app to set the gearing, the KTM is the first using this, the Corsa Comfort is another, just wanted to show my support of this little tool.

many thanks Bee9

Review by pipntcik about this X-BOW

Chunkee_Monkey has revised his tune and delivered an evident and material departure from his original version. While there is extensive work in the suspension and is also the first tune of this car that includes a customized gearbox configuration, the biggest change is in weight and how it is distributed, moving the CoG quite close to the middle (47:53).
The result is a car that on Sport Softs feels on rails. Gone are the oversteer, twitchiness, instability to input and generally all drama. There is even a bit of understeer, noticeable in sharper and high speed corners. This car belongs in Sport Hards and I may even give it a go in Comforts.
The gearbox is good for the ring up to 4th gear, 5th and 6th felt a bit long, far apart, This is in part because this configuration can take significantly more power than the car has. Top speed was 243kph/151mph.
This car is so planted that I may experiment and increase the power output to get to 550pp and see how it works.

Many thanks for trying the Nismo out, then taking the time to post, your the first
It was too slow on the Super GT300 Championship though, or maybe I'm just a rubbish driver. But then I had to limit the power to be able to compete and that ruins it a bit.

Possible changes coming, too tired to finish off but will highlight any future changes.

No downforce means coming down the hill at Bathhurst is scary, even if you use racing line, will do you no good as at over 200mph(without draft) you need to brake early, I applied some brake before the right hand kink just to scrub some speed off, get it wrong and you going to be some off the track with a nice drive through the grass and sand.....enjoy :)

Peugeot 106 GTI "Matterhorn Edition"

1175350_10151971401325209_1062412850_n.jpg

Had to get the picture in of my 106 GTI owned for over 10 years now.
Do you remember as a kid when it snowed you grabbed you sled and ran off to where ever the nearest hill was, you would knacker yourself out trying to rush up the hill with your sled to try and find a spot with plenty of snow left as like you many others had done the same thing, only they got there first because your mum made you wrap nice and warm before you went off...oh the fun she spoilt. You got to the top found your spot and threw yourself down the hill, the excitement, the rush, the near misses, too many obstacles in the way--"Move" you would shout and people would attempt to clear a path for fear of being dragged back down the hill when it had cost them so much energy to get to that point.

The 106 GTI(UK) is inspired by those events, I wheeled it in and went to work on the engine and the handling, wiggle it's ass under braking and get the back to swing round for you, I've set it up for all the Matterhorn events in career, alright your 200PP under the allowance but the idea is too screw the nuts out of the car and get that flyin down the hill sections, cause you will be checkin those mirrors on some of the uphills due to being underpowered.

Hope you enjoy.

Spent some time tuning this for the Seasonal Event Time Trial, tweaking, tweaking and more tweaking, I did numerous laps as I figured out what needed changing etc, once I was happy with it I ran 1 lap and clocked a 0:56.727 (I don't like doing lap after lap in search of that perfect one but I'm sure there's nearly .200 still for me to take off that) which got me about 43rd on the leaderboard. You may notice the suspension is quite different from the one's floating around, if you find the time to have a go in this tune and you manage to better your time, feedback is much appreciated, as a new one to the tuning in GT6 I'm probably under-used and often over-looked so big thank's if you post up,

cheers Bee9.
