Civic 3000hp should be banned?

the title explains it all Y must people hack and take out the fun . Does anyone agree with me?

I don't agree, it is still for everybody to play the game as they wish.
If you don't want to play with a 3000hp civic, then don't get one.
Online rooms can protect themselfs from it too.

So why annoyed by the existance of those hybrids? Do they harm you? Take your fun away?

And to be honest, I wouldn't call it a hack. That doesn't serve the term. It's about altering and knowledge.

And it can be real fun, I got a Midget (Tess) that runs almost 300km/h and a Mazda AZ that goes 380km/h. No burning rubber and extreme acceleration, which keeps the car under control 👍

Cheers

I don't know why you feel the need to not only post these mini rants in the correct threads such as this one but also make two additional threads complaining and insisting that they should be banned as if somebody here would see the post and say "Oh deary me, somebody is bothered by that civic, I'll just pull that switcharoo that stops them working then"

I'll say to you here what I said to you in the previous thread, ignoring them is all you can do, cluttering this forum with these threads when countless others have created threads on this exact topic is pointless.

I've linked the correct place for this discussion, however since you've already posted there, I believe you're well aware of it's existence

Also "Why" isn't spelt with one letter 👍

Beside you are announcing in numberless threads how annoying you find these hybrids - I guess everybody knows that you don`t want one - you still keep violating THIS although you accepted during registration process.

EDIT: Tree`d by UrieHusky...

On-topic:
No need to ban them. Outeke said it all. 👍

Well, at least it's in Q&A and not the marketplace! ;)

O.P how about poll, it might be a good idea?

My vote, I like them.....Me want MORE.:crazy::D

How do you even get the Civic to 3000bhp?

Is it by a tune, or some magical trick?

I'd like to get one.

Keep them coming, @ the end of the day it's just something else for us collectors to have the people who bring them into rooms will soon get bored & also its easy to set a BHP limit so rendering them useless. Peace out

Congratulations TheProdigy, due to your repeated advertising, there's now at least one more person who will likely obtain the car you're trying to get banned.

I think as long as people use the Civic and other hybrids responsibly then I'm ok with it.

Sorry friend, unless you used the tuning tools that came with the game to make your midget go 300 km/h it's a hack, glitch, scam, whatever you want to call it.

That's ("altering") exactly what a hack or "hacking" is, taking existing code and modifying it or to add lines to an existing codes. Just letting you know .

I don't care one bit about these cars. They don't ruin anything for me, for the most part It'll be the draggers that would get the most benefit out of them. I've honestly never seen any of them, due to only being in drift lobbies. It'll be a little hard to drift with those hybrids .

And all those arguing with Outeke? Any idea what he does for a living?.....I do..:sly:

With 7000hp, all you'll be doing is spinning tires , that's not drifting, that's taking one corner and burning out your tires.

I'm not sure if the last part was to me, but all I was doing was clarifying that altering or modifying (reverse engineering) lines of code without authors consent, is hacking! I don't know what he does for a living, and frankly, it's none of my business.

I see your point about not drifting:lol: Just saying that FR cars are out there lurking? 1000 hp Supra's might be coming next? Who knows?

My point about Mr O was...He knows what he's speaking about.👍 What these so-called "hackers" are doing is in fact, not really hacking per say..That's why it's being called hybrids(which I hate).. More like a chassis swap with a power precent increase.

That what I gather from the hybriding thread at least. 👍

Personally I think Polyphony should go into the garages of those and delete those 3000hp honda civics.

It's not just the Civic anymore there are many many cars....pretty much any car can be modded like this

Hacker: Someone who figures out how technology works and alters it for fun or experimentation.

Cracker: Someone who figures out how technology works and uses it for personal gain or malice, such as gaining access to personal information, stealing money from banks, etc.

The media misuses the word hacker to describe the bad guys.

This is a hack, plain and simple. Code is altered to create a different effect than was originally intended for the game.

I'm going to agree with Adrenaline here. The complaint threads and the "OMG, I saw a Civic blow away everyone online!" threads has only served to draw attention to these hacked cars and caused a whole lot of people to want and obtain them.

The truth is, that if this wasn't all over the Forums every single day, there would only be a couple of people who have them. Now, there are tons of them out there.

My advice? Stop talking about it. Eventually people will get tired of them and they'll disappear. PD might also step in and fix the code with an update that doesn't allow the hack to work anymore. I'm surprised that 2.11 didn't actually tackle this.

Don't feel the need to have hacked cars at all. Personally i'd like to see Polyphony take a similar stance as T10, and come down very heavy on those that do.

In the history of the entire world, when has "stop talking about it" ever worked for anything..ever? You can't put the genie back in the bottle.

PD didn't fix the hybrids because they probably had the update planned before the hybrids were so popular.

You're correct. It won't undo what he thinks is "damaged". It will, however, stop drawing attention to it and encouraging new people to get them.

If he feels that the hacked cars are indeed "ruining" everything, he shouldn't be drama-ing it up on the message board and letting those who haven't seen or heard about them know about them.

This topic has already encouraged one person, that we know of, to seek one out. I think this topic is pretty counter-productive if his intent was to put a stop to the hacked cars.

As others have mentioned, there was already a topic, which he was part of, that addressed this "issue" anyway. Making a new topic was not necessary, and probably achieved the opposite of what he intended.

For me, I don't really care one way or another if the cars exist. I think it was creative that people managed to hack the game to get them. For the most part, they are pretty much useless aside from the showboating that can be done with them.

It's actually surprising that aside from legal concerns for those who use them, or more importantly, hacked them to begin with, I don't see why someone is getting their panties in a bunch about them. No big deal really, so let's cause a bunch of drama, okay kids? :dopey:

As a side note about the word hack and it's derivatives:

The term is being used correctly here. Unless the guy who claimed that it was incorrect is an etymologist (look it up if you don't know what it means), then his career is unimportant to the discussion.

He cannot change the meaning of the word, so he is incorrect in his original statement. His job does not give him a method nor a right to alter definitions.

Feel free to keep arguing because you either misunderstand the definition, or are wrongly impressed by his job title, but it doesn't change the fact that the cars were created by hacking the system.

Funny you two are the only ones arguing? All while trying to talk crap about someone YOU DON'T KNOW..

Oh were up 10 hybrids now, enjoy.:sly:
