Has anyone managed to actually beat these at their current level without going back to them once you are 30+. Just wondering that's all. With the classic I guess it's possible with the 2J. But I think impossible otherwise or ridiculously hard. I got the 330 fully tuned and am in 12th place after 2 corners.

For the classic car I beat it with the 2J after losing like 10 times.

It turned out that the suspension was too low for cote d' azur, I raised it and it won, but barely.

I won nascar gold overall, but I'm unable to place better than 9th for Daytona :(

Damn so even with the 2J you lost that many times?

I've won with a fully tuned Toyota 7. It is not so difficult if you don't commit any big mistake. In Nascar what you need is nerves of steel. I maintained 2nd or 3rd during the whole race and manage an overtake in the last lap. It was so difficult, anyway.

I actually just beat the classic car last night in A-spec with my Toyota. I won the second race by .823. I didn't do much with the suspension, but I did max out the down force. The key for me was in the gears. Lower your max speed to around 160MPH or so. That really helped me get out of the corners better in A-spec. In B-spec I've got a solid second. Bob could get to the back of that stupid 2J but couldn't get beside him for anything.

my best with the 7 was 2nd on the 2nd race on historic. nascar, i think i would have won daytona had i not made a mistake on lap 1. i will probably do it again this weekend.

i found some setups online that helped a bunch for nascar and for the 7, the key was as stated, a lower top speed to get him off the corners quick.

When I tried Cote d'Azur with the 2J it was supereasy. But I almosted killed Bob when he drove the Toyota 7.

But now I am stuck at Level 21. Just the Nascar Series left to do. :/
Any helpful advice?

make sure to adjust the top speed accordingly on each track, and get a suspension setup that is good, and adjust the LSD so its not a drift car. and babysit bob or he will drive thru the tires on the car.

Apec Cote d'Azu used the Toyota 7, go in front on the first corner, just dived down the inside, bam five laps later first place.

Bspec used the T7 also, i was lucky that the 2J car crashed on the last lap, Bob held him off till the finish line.

Lol I beat it with a 2D. The key was the gearing and for the deep forest track I set the brakes to be rear biased. I don't remember what I used for azur, probably the same with a different setup.

Won the classic with the Toyota 7 fully tuned but you have to stay put and get bob through, he won't do it by himself. NASCAR was tough, again, you have to stay with bob and hold his hand the whole time. It took me 3 tries to win it.

^ I did the same as you. Bob really needs to be babied around those tracks. On the Nascar event, I must say Grand Valley was the hardest for me, took me about five tries to get it.

I tried with the Toyota 7 at Côte d'azur about 5 times. Bob kept losing to a 2J that just took an early lead and was never seen again. Switched to a 2J and magically there was no 2J in the front pack so bob took an easy lead and suddenly it was him who was never seen again.

From what I have seen the key is the starting line up. Usually there is 2 2J's, one up front and one up back. The one upfront gets a good lead and the one up the back stays mid-pack the whole race. If you get a race without a front running 2J you'll win easy.

Since I don't have a Toy7 or a Chap 2J I've been letting Bob try the Cote race in a few other cars that are not up to the task. He had a previous best of 6th in a 69 Camaro RM. Last night he was within sight of the leader at the finish in a 70 Challenger RM and settled for a 5th place finish.
I think I'll give him a detuned Cobra to play with tonight. He can't handle the power of the fully maxed car. I might be able to get him to run faster if I take it down a notch or 2 and give him a car he can control

Won the first by miles in a 7. Then Monaco proved to be a thorn in the side. After winning the Indy 500 in Aspec and getting the Jag Xj13, on the second attempt my level 16 driver raced rather well and took the win. I was in first for the middle of the 7th lap.

Same here, but i went back to get the last Gold and BoB got to the front and pulled away to win by 2 seconds which i found most odd.

BoB had good days as well as bad ones :)

I tuned the 7 a bit and found it not so bad, full down-force pulled the gears in to around 160ish... Check to make sure you are using racing MEDIUMS... I couldn't get better than a close second on Monaco before I realized I was on racing hards...

also, the best place to pass is going up the hill after turn one... make sure you hit the pass command before turn 1...

my bob keeps parking the front end in the wall and doing burnouts on Cote D'Azur. Going to try some of the tips you guys gave tonight.

Yep, my bob won every event in turn as he went along. His only losses through Bspec were in the Nascar series, one of them (maybe Daytona, but I cannot remember so that is a guess, he took 3 goes for the win). Classic car was a breeze in the 2J.

I have gold on all Historic race car challenges!
B-spec level now: 21
My drivers: level 20 & 15

A-spec: Completed all tracks with the Jaguar XJ-13 Race car
B-spec:
* 1st Track: Toyota 7 race car (fully tuned)
* Cote d'azur: Jaguar XJ-13 (suspension front/rear -20; lowered maximum speed to 280)

The first time I tried Cote d'azur, I didn't get better than 2nd place.
Today I just started the race again while I was away, and the B-spec driver managed to get gold without me telling him what to do... :D
