'ello everyone!
How's it going?
I'm sad to hear that Project Cars seems have quite a lot of bugs and issues. After the delay in November I hoped they would have had most of the wrinkles ironed out by now. It's kind of in its infancy I guess, but still disappointing. Apart from being mostly race cars though, your descriptions makes it sound just fantastic! The GT3 league in my imagination is putting me in trouble here.
Like mephi, I'm itching to go racing with you guys again. So much that I actually again contemplated buying into a Fanatec setup to be able to go into Project Cars too - before coming to my senses and buying a camera instead.
Because I know myself - I can hardly drive with the Playstation controller. Even the forgiving Driveclub have me struggling.
I did, on a whim, buy into
Dirt Rally on the PC though. However, the need to upgrade my graphics card is starting to become a problem. It feels like the successor to Richard Burns Rally, which was the best rally simulator I'd driven, so it has lots of potential. Rally is by its very nature a kind of a lonesome form of racing, so it doesn't cover everything.
How many would be aboard for a bit more racing in GT6?
I know I've asked this before and that the network issues in GT6 are bad and a discouragement. So is, to me, not having a working headset on the PS3, but the racing in our league have always been top notch, and I miss it. 👍
A sad reminder I found online: 60 years ago the most horrific accident in car racing history happened during Le Mans. It made Mercedes retire from racing for 30 years.
The link includes
horrific pictures, and this
video is
very graphic. Wikipedia has a
safe for life version of the accident with more information. The safety of today's racing has not come cheap.
Side note; I'm sad the #30 Porsche was bumped out of Karussell and into a barrier during the Nürburgring 24h. It was in the lead at the time and had a very good pace. The first eight hours (!) of the race was very entertaining this year, I believe at least in part because of the speed limit.
Now I put my hopes in Porsche in the Le Mans 24h where they seem to have the pace.
PS.
Off topic: If anyone didn't know of it or see it, I recommend you call a couple of mates, pop some popcorn, bring out the beer, and sit down and watch the finally released, crazy over the top, 80's caricature, short film
Kung Fury:
(I hope the link works for most of you. In Sweden we have to use
SVT Play to see it, so I really can't know for sure. Almost 10 000 000 views makes me think it's the correct link though.)
