Hmmm, since Zerox mentioned our old duel specifically... does that mean I'm required to enter? ;)

I have some also-rans from that match, but I think I might try for something new...

Will probably change it,

Don't change it, that's stunning! Unless of course, you want to give others more of a chance ;)

I think the theme covers ALL artistic interpretations rather than only abstract. Hopefully SlipZ/Zerox clarify this.

If its just abstract, I will have to withdraw since I'm not a big fan of that sort of stuff.

Same, I don't think the random blurs really give a feel for something abstract clearly from GT5 and that's what I think it should show. Please do clarify this

Alright then, since the theme name, 'Abstractor', doesn't meant it have to be abstract. As long as it have to do something with art, the entry is legit. Guess i should name it, ARTSTRACTOR. :P

Sorry guys, i know i have to clarify this sooner. :ouch:
Amazing entries so far.

This is the theme I was going to choose if I ever won a PMC or 2.0!
Have to agree with Moglet, gt-detective's is the bet entry so far!

But don't all photos by definition have something to do with art?

I'm kinda with mog on this one, abstract to me means something a little different to what we see normally in the photocomp.....Just my two cents

Err no. Not all photos. Well, i guess it's hard for me to explain. :P
But yeah, i guess you've saw all the entrants shoot and i think you've a slight gist on how your shoot would be. :D

I guess i won this time. :P

I think the theory of abstract equals blurry equals boring is wrong. The virtual world of GT5 is full of various shapes and colors that can be combined in so many interesting abstract ways through the great tool that is the photomode. Of course a slow shutter speed often helps to blur out low resolution textures, but used as an element itself it can also make for exciting abstract compositions.

I feel if people are heading into the theme with the idea that it's simply "blurry images", they'll most likely fail, at least in my opinion. Composition plays a big part in abstract work - I had a few dozen images before I settled on the one above, because it just feels right, although like all art, how right that is is all up to each individual viewer. I was never much of a fan of abstract until a few years ago, but given the tools available to us in GT5, I'm surprised at the amount of genuinely interesting art it can create. Sure beats having to paint!

Nanabu - I like it a lot, the colour combo and quasi-cubism really blends well together. The choice of font makes it feel like something out of the Wipeout universe, too! Friendly reminder though, on another subject - do try to type in full English; at least pay attention to your shift key ;). I realize you're in Vienna though :)

Ah guys, can you guys also state the cars, location on your shoots.
More like it if y'all can post the original image. :D
