Now that's a niiiice V8 vacuum cleaner sir LOL[/QUOTE]

Actually yes, it does sound synthetic and flat producing a sound similar to a vacuum cleaner. Because they have upped their sounds a bit by adding a more realistic sound effect emulating a v8 does not mean they have managed to make the sound alive and like it is popping out to you.. The sound is still vacuum cleener-esque. Sorry but that is the simple truth...

I want a solid explanation on how that Mustang sounds remotely similar to this.

I'll wait.

becasue it sounds monotone, and synthetic when it goes through its revs, and when it is time to change gears it is back to how it sounded before. I am not complaining about the v8 growl. it is about how unnatural and flat the engine spinns up. It does not sound alive.. I dont know how to explain this, right now.

But it is too flat sounding and monotone.

What is your point?
No one said those sounds are real, outstanding, best in class or perfect.
They are better than before (and before was better than before too) that's it.
Better than before means positive progress. Positive progress is good. (especially at given time)
So improved GTS sounds = good.

(you know what I mean)

I don't know if you guys noticed before but i just noticed that there are race track crews waving green flags on a certain sectors of the race track.

Yes they sound better, but it is not me that wants an essay with explanation about why I dont think that GTS sounds totally epic... What is your point for asking me what I mean when I pretty much gave you all what I meant with that. :P

The thing I think are impressive with gts is the indicators and the hazard lights and all that... Imagine playing on a HDR monitor, superb if you ask me :)

Makes me think about all those moderna rc cars with lights... coooooool :D

I find it hilarious how all these supposedly improved sounds videos "ONLY SHOW CHASECAM"

Its a simulator "of sorts" if the sounds still suck in cockpit view then the sounds still suck period because cockpit funnily enough is the most realistic view you might expect simulator players to actually use.

This is what a cockpit view could and should sound like.

No offence, but I think you acting like you "hear more" than all we. Beside it's completely wrong, most of us now have a faith in PD again (which many of us almost lost past years) and just happy that things are moving in right direction. And all of that based on actual content, not words or rumors.

I raced on the Nurburgring in the Lotus Evora and noticed in the cockpit view the side mirrors are glitched. If you look to your left or right, the mirrors spaz out.

Also noticed right before the Carraciola-Karussell, there is a section of pavement that says "Forza Sportiva" in huge letters, didn't notice this before. It looks like new pavement considering it looks darker. (maybe it was there beforehand?)

Do any of the trees sway at all? Looks very static.

I haven't seen anyone asking for the chase cam on any new sound videos?

If anything, they're probably asking to see the new, improved chase cam, which would be pretty dumb to ask for on a sound video, in all honesty.

So blinkers and hazards are what make a game top notch for you? The devs are loving you with a bar that low

It is not my intention to make me sound/come of as a "I am an engine-soundo-phile and you are not" but that is how I perceive the sounds of GTS and even other car games. It is like they have a nice "texture" of how they should sound but underneath it all the tone is flat and synthetic. Listen to the engine note in ghostrider135 post. It sound alive and not as it was artificially mixed to match the rmps.

I dont have any faith in PD or anyone making a product that I am to consume. If they do something I like I buy it, even if they have some aspects of something that I dont praise it that much. After all, I did ejoy the older GT titles.

hehe, well I dont think I have seen this function in other games before. When I am trackday racing in AC at nurburgring I must say that indicators would be super welcomed. But if they can rival AC when it comes to physics, or rather make it feel as you drove a proper trackday car then I will be impressed of course, but will GTS be able to rival AC?

Ehh, but thats not my point. I believe there's something wrong. Most of my cars sound high pitched now. I want to know if it's a bug or not.
What do you mean? Can you use more examples?

The turbo blowoff sound needs to be toned up a bit, and the tire squeel toned down, especially in cockpit view.

Loving the camera options and the visual upgrades in terms of trackside assets as well as the return of tire marks. 👍 Love playing with the indicators :D.

The physics itself doesn't feel that different for me however, though it feels the Evora is just a tad more forgiving? Overall I like the direction of this update.

Btw apparently PD finally transplanted a lower body to our driver avatar. With working legs to boot.

the car still sound like a vacuum cleaner, but the lights and all is cool.

MOAR "vacuum cleaners"! LoL

Nobody needed to ask as you can see, However I still maintain what I said, Chasecam in a simulator means very little in terms of sound improvements.

My version (US):

EU version:

I was correct. I've just reported this issue on the bug tracker.

Actually I may have a theory on why it's like that. Blue Moon Bay and the other Oval use a special BOP mode that gives every group 3 a sepcial engine that makes almost 800hp and redlines at 8600rpm, what you may believe to be a bug is actually the fact that they made them sound like they rev higher so cars with this BOP would naturally have a higher pitch.

You could be right, I didn't considered that. We will see.

They sound different on Brand Hatch because they're still using the stock engines, give or take some power depending on the BOP for each car.

Not crazy about the side of the screen going black when next to another car. I'd rather have the red bullseye we had before.
