Nato_777 was selected as the Judge's Choice winner last week, and he decided that this week
ought to be a Manipulation Week.

Raphaele won the public vote with his amusing Barbie car, and the theme he has selected is Slot Car Racing!

Further explanation of theme, which is chosen by Week 17 Winner, Raphaele:

Recently we had a "toy theme" which might have been a little bit too complex for most of you. This time, everyone of you should be able to take part – as photoshop skills shouldn't make that difference.

Put your GT5 car/s on the slot car track! Show me your own perspective of a miniature racing world. Remember yourself sitting cross-legged on the carpet, your sweaty little fist clutching that tiny controller...

Feel free to turn your own original GT5 photo into a slot car racing scene – or compose your own GT5 car/s into an excisting image.
- No restrictions above the general
- Any car/s allowed (but remember: it's racing!)
- Phototravel and/or photomode

For inspiration visit: www.carrera-toys.com

And remember...
Be creative and have fun!

NOTE: Raphaele has informed me that he will be going on holiday this week, and as such the Judge's Choice from last week, Nato_777 will be fulfilling the judging duties at the end of the week!

  • Photoshop or another image editing program MUST be used.
  • Each entry must have some part from a Photomode picture from Gran Turismo 5.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
  • No full-size images posted in thread; your entry will be ignored.
  • A preview image is not only allowed, but encouraged! However, preview images can
not exceed 500 pixels in either direction. This includes borders or drop shadow effects.
[*]Winner of the public vote gets to choose the theme for the following week.
[*]Public vote winners also get to select the top 12 entries for the poll the following week.
[*]When selecting the top 12 entries the following week, the theme chooser will also select a
"Judge's Choice" winner, the entry which they feel has best captured the theme.
[*]The Judge's Choice winner gets to choose whether the following week will be either a
Graphics Week or a Manipulation Week.
[*]A graphics week will be primarily graphic design and layout based, for example magazine
    covers, or movie posters.
[*]A manipulation week will be primarily based on photo manipulation, for example creating
race cars in game, or making multi-car composites.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

Being a Photoshop competition, there are no limits on editing. Use every tool at your disposal to
create the desired effect. Feel free to utilise HDR techniques, photo stitching, whatever you like!
Your only real restriction is that you must use some part of a GT5 Photomode image!
The main thing to remember is to be creative and have fun!

Nice! That's exactly what I was doing for the toy entry when I accidentally deleted it...

same here.:) Well, I didn't delete it because I haven't even done one. But I planned exactly that type of pic.
Maybe I'll find the time this week....

I wish you all pretty good inspirations, a (s)lot of fun and good luck!
I will return mid of June and am looking forward to your entries!

Fawk dis, I misunderstood the theme. New entry maybe coming soon.

Yes. And it is photoshopped. Albeit only adjustment layers. But it's still photoshop.

Kthnxbai.

I see no slot for said car. So it's really just a Skyline GT-R 1:64 on a tiny 'Ring if anything.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh. I just realized. I misunderstood the theme completely. My bad =P

But I wonder if I could remake the ring into a slot car track? Hmmm... *gears start turning*

I was taking pictures at cape ring when suddenly my PS3 froze up and got a YLOD!
If I can find a picture that suits the competition then yay...

Thank you both !
Can you add me as friend ? I won't be able to connect until tomorrow morning and it will likely be my only shot at this :)

Hey Guys (and Gals), be nice to see some entries here. Although I'm judging this week, because I wasn't the winner I'm still elegable to enter myself provided there are less than 12 entries. So if you want to shut me out get your entries in. :D
I'll wait till the last minute before posting mine.

Nothing wrong with that entry con360, well done.

Changed Final Entry

Hmm as Raphaele is on holiday at the moment I don't think we'll be able to get you a definitive answer... I'm happy to allow it, we've got so few entries this week that I'm glad for one more!
