Fido_le_muet was selected as the Judge's Choice winner last week, and he decided that this week ought to be a Manipulation Week.

TheDrummingKING took out the public vote, and the theme he has selected is Mini Me!

Further explanation of theme, which is chosen by Week 34 Winner, TheDrummingKING:

"Mini Me"

I want you to take your favourite car and shrink it down to something a little more fun sized. ;) You could have it by itself, with your driver, or with other normal (or mini) sized cars. Anything really!

And remember... be creative and have fun!

  • Photoshop or another image editing program MUST be used.
  • Each entry must have some part from a Photomode picture from Gran Turismo 5.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
  • No full-size images posted in thread; your entry will be ignored.
  • A preview image is not only allowed, but encouraged! However, preview images can
not exceed 500 pixels in either direction. This includes borders or drop shadow effects.
  • Winner of the public vote gets to choose the theme for the following week.
  • Public vote winners also get to select the top 12 entries for the poll the following week.
  • When selecting the top 12 entries the following week, the theme chooser will also select a
"Judge's Choice" winner, the entry which they feel has best captured the theme.
  • The Judge's Choice winner gets to choose whether the following week will be either a
Graphics Week or a Manipulation Week.
  • A graphics week will be primarily graphic design and layout based, for example magazine
    covers, or movie posters.
  • A manipulation week will be primarily based on photo manipulation, for example creating
race cars in game, or making multi-car composites.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

Being a Photoshop competition, there are no limits on editing. Use every tool at your disposal to
create the desired effect. Feel free to utilise HDR techniques, photo stitching, whatever you like!
Your only real restriction is that you must use some part of a GT5 Photomode image!
The main thing to remember is to be creative and have fun!

I like this very much :D, I don't really do manipulation but I may just have a dig at this one, How hard can it be he says :sly:

I have gimp and i don't know much about photo editing.

Making a car smaller and making it look good without making it seem like it has been edited will be hard.

Are you talking about those penny racers? If so, i'm outta here!

It's a free competition, so you can make of it what you want. I hope your fantasy goes further than penny racers though. :)

That's how I read it.

Too bad my photoshop skill is not good enough :yuck:

Yep, if you're meaning these. Don't give up though, I would love to see what you can do.

Precisely why I'm not just throwing in one of those. I've been meaning to add a few more to that set for awhile so while making something a little more complex and interesting for this theme I will hopefully get some done aswell.
BTW the tutorial above is pretty close to how I do these only I do a little extra to keep the background correct through the windows etc... :)

FINAL ENTRY

Miniature 458 Spa by ferrari_458, on Flickr

Since I have a week off school and nothing to do, I thought I would attempt my first Photoshop entry. Obviously it's inspired by Nato's work, and it's nowhere near as good, but still, it was fun to make, and I hope you like it :)

So all we basically have to do is shrinking a photo, and that's it? Will have a go on this then, don't think it'll turn out good though...

FINAL ENTRY

didnt come out exactly how I wanted it, so I may make a few adjustments and reupload it.

Yep, that's really good Ferrari_458 👍 The only thing I'ld do is copy and paste the original sized driver's helmet back into the image to make the car look truly "Mini Me'd". :)
Fido_le_muet - :lol::lol::lol:

Here's my FINAL ENTRY.... maybe er definately - I don't have time to better it.

"Proud Parents - McLaroghini"

I was going to incorporate the McLamborrari but then I remembered it was a composition of three cars so I come up with a McLaroghini Fallardo instead - a mini one. :D
